Ah - yes, it's painted black, but given the lighting I use for pictures, it does look a bit silvery!

Inky is right - converting with GS is very addictive, and I find it easier than I expected :)

Nice to see those on your workbench Xander! That HQ building is huge!! And the house is excellent looking. Definitely they will cause inspiration to the owner and viewer both...

Cheers Tink :) The Amrera building is great value at £9.99, especially for folks like me who get bored building scenery. I'll definitely be getting more at some point soon. The single-story is getting closer to completion - hoping to finish painting the window frames white & do the rafters tonight, then a dark wash and it'll be done...

It´s hard to see all this and restrict yourself. I definitely need more storing place, budget, time, playing opportunities, a mancave and a girl that understands that this hobby is fun, not weird. :D

Glad I can help on the insperation front lol

I think that's what most people need! I'm lucky that Emma quite likes painting as well, and although not massively into gaming, she'll happily sit down and play if I talk her through the dice rolls for a couple of turns to remind her of the system. Storage is always a problem, and I share my man-cave with Emma, I guess making it more of a geek cave :) Budget, time & playing oppertunites always need improvement :D lol

Great stuff. The amera building is great. I think that will be going on the shopping list. Ace looking bungalow.

Well, the Amirea building has been primed (not easy to get all the nooks and cranies, particularly not whilst leaning out of a 3rd floor window...)

I also finished off a couple of conversion:
Posted Image

And here's a quick peek at my desk (well, the interesting side... the other side had drying primed figures)

I'm going to have a go at cracking on with some of the non-winterapoc projects cluttering up the back of the desk (the various 20mm & malayan war figures which haven't moved in the background of these various photos since atleast christmas...

Cheers :) And yes, I do lean out the window to spray - luckily we've a large window sill (big enough to get 2 window boxes on) so if I should ever have a figure make an escape bid, which has yet to heppen, then it won't go plumitting to the gorund.

Thanks guys :)

@ Inky - I won't be leaving the trees in the building (not part of my setting for now - as all the trees have died due to a lack of sunlight); but I later I will be doing some smaller 'alive' trees for games as the skies clear of ash and dust and seeds start to grow... And some of these will be rooted in the rubble etc

@ Simon - they are woodland scenics tree armatures 5"-7" deciduous and 4"-6" conifers :)

Gosh, it's been almost a month since I updated this.... Hopefully this pic-tastic update should make up for that...

A few 'true' winterapoc conversions - a geezer who's lost his flares, but gained a beardand a backpack, a road-kill bloke who's had lots of little tweaks (re-worked his melee weapon, a beard and turned his tww-shirt into a hoody) and a LAM STALKER with his AK replaced with a single-shotgun.

The rest are a mix of Winter apoc, +10 figures, etc....

Posted Image
Some sea wolves...

Posted Image
Another seawolf; a female cannibal (stock figure) and my first attempt at some celtic styled neotribals (heavily converted renegade figure)

Posted Image
The start of my nomads...

Posted Image
And a close up of some of the nomads themselves...

Posted Image
And their wheels...

Posted Image
Posted Image
A couple of views of the painting que...

Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image
And the current 'sculpting in progress'/'short job' (beards, etc) que.... Lots of 'true' WinterApoc bits, another celtic tribal, and then a few scavs etc..

What you cant see is the Amera building waiting its floors and doors painted before weathering and completion and the shelf full of 'sculpting stock' most of which have been filed down etc ready for putty pushing....

So I've not been slacking, honest!

What a good looking horde, they all appear desperate!

I really like the Double Barreled, Axe handle wielding fellow in the first picture!

Thanks tink, I'm pleased with how he turned out. I always felt the stock figure had potential, but when I last had/painted him he just didn't seem to work.

Most of the figures have been repurposed from other projects (especially BritApoc, where some figures just didn't fit its retro aesthetic), my sales pile or just the general unpainted lead backlog (especially the pack mules...) . I figure I can always get more if I ever progress far enough with the other project that I miss their presence!
