My 'to be converted' shelf... as you can see, it's pretty full!

Bits from the painting corner - all just generic 'scavs'; some of which are lookign really glossy as I put a wash over them just before taking the picture...

I like the little additions on the minis,a coat here and a scarf there.Looks like they were sculpted that way.

Nice work.

Very cool, I love the figs. The sculpting extras are top notch!

Definitely some scrappy survivors.

Thanks guys - the scuplting has improved a little over the course of the project so far (it's a lot smoother now), but I'm pretty pleased with how it's gone so far. Most of the modifications have been pretty minor - as you say, adding a scarf here, closing a coat there, lengthening trousers, converting a tee-shirt into a jacket. I've done one 'full clothing' resculpt (viking beserker into a survivor) so far; and I've got quite a few others which will need pretty drastic sculpting changes to make them fit, so thought that if I practice on the 'easy' bits first, then the bigger projects should go better :)

You got a nice collection of "guy next door" miniatures, Dragon!
But please promise you are not going to paint the bearded man´s G36 rifle silver again. They are black!

Thanks - 'Joe Average - a year after the End' is definitely the look I'm aiming for. I also try to drawn insperation for my conversions during my walk to work, which hopefully shows a bit.

I had already planned to paint the G36 black... but as far I know, I've never painted a G36 silver?!?

Some more progress; most still have a fair bit left to do... but these have all since been primed (I was doing a batch and thought I'd mix 'em in, just to get them on the painting desk faster in the long run) so it's not so easy to see the conversions :)

The Green Stuff Sculptured bags are excellent! Appears you are driven by those new SSS rules and your own PA Winter theme

Thank you - my sculpting is definitely improving - I look at some of the earlier conversions I've done, and whilst I don't exactly wince, I would certainly do things differently if I was doing them again. It has been quite fun 're-imagining' some of the figures, and trying to decide what to do to them. There are still a few more figures out there that I would like to get to convert, but I am starting to run out of (easy) candidates...!

Sorry I must have confounded your work with something else I saw.

Edit:
I thought it was silver/grey at the second pic. Can be the illumination, anyway.

What´s a G36?

It´s the German standard assault rifle. Kraut masterpiece of engineering (as long as you don´t want to shoot somebody), favourite in Hollywood productions due to it´s futuristic look. My first love when I entered duty :D

Yes, I really like those minis for their Joe average look. can´t wait to get some greenstuff and try it myself!
