Hi guys it's my first day on here and I have started modelling die cast cars. I am near completion and want to show you it so far. I have just brought a nada car to overhaul but dare not touch it until I have attempted another....The only car I had at home was an old 1:18 Lamborghini Diablo... Lol not exactly standard post apoc but I have tried to make it lore friendly as a burnt wreck salvaged from a pre ww3 dealer. It is now used as a to get urgent messages to warn near by towns of raider and mutant attacks. The only gaming I do is on pc or console but I am v interested in starting creating Diorama's so. I will upload all pics so far to show stages but please feel free to give constructive critique, advice or ask any questions please remember it is still WIP This site is just what I have been looking for Edited by Ghettocat2007, Nov 7 2012, 01:23 AM.

Welcome to the wastes,Ghettocat! That is one fine lookin'car, very rusty and beat up lookin'! 1/18 is not my thing at all.I mostly do 28mm and find it very hard to do a good paint job on anything bigger. My wifes grand father once gave me a 54mm brit sailor to paint for him, took me 2or 3 years to get it right. Have you checked out Madmachines posts?Thats the shit!I think hes doing 1/24 scale. Hey,hop over to the Bar and tell us a little about yourself.Just because you dont game does not mean ya' cant join in the fun. On the way over there why dont you grab that trashbag with the Hazmat sign on it?You'll need the clothes inside for your first chore here. Brian |

Thank you guys, yep gi Joe's lol . I got them off eBay cheap. I had to cut the driver in half. I am happy how it came out. I now feel confident starting on the Jada model. I would love to know more about plastic 1:24 scale modelling. What are the essentials equipment wise? What super glues are safe to use with plastic? How do I find the Bar? Thanks for the warm welcome guys and good feedback |

Follow the smell of fresh Rat on-a-Stick! er... well... you could also try ... http://s1.zetaboards.com/Post_Apoc_Wargames/forum/334391/ I believe you are working in a Post Apocalyptic scale not seen in these parts before! These look really excellent! Do you focus building for Diorama or Gaming?? That scale would be great for Radio Controlled gas monsters wrecking CARnage in PA Demolishin' Derby fashion! |

Thank you very much!! It is still WIP I have noticed a couple of areas I need to look at paint wise and I still have some I need to do on the rear (a couple more chunky exhausts) some bullet holes. This is my first attempt to be honest I have never made a diorama but I want to. I would rather play computer games or draw a pictures than warhammer style play but each to their own I love anything Post Apocalyptic. I love PA computer games like fallout 3 and Fonv, Rage fallen earth, also films like Mad max 2, omega man, the road, 28 days later .... I could go on lol... In my spare time I have been writing a post apoc story I am more of an artist though than a writer. If you want to see some of my art from my story I can post a couple on here But I will be making some more vehicles I now have a racing merc that I striped and sanded down. I also have a Audi tt that I stripped just for parts and the awesome looking Jada Chrysler as seen above. Thanks again for the feedback and I am happy to get some some more 1;18 up soon |
