Didn't really know where to put this topic, but I guess this is as good a place as any since we don't have an arts forum. I am currently taking an animations class during school and after posting my first flipbook up on teh YouTubez, I've recieved a few requests on an animated signature or title bar for the forum. Thing is, I am having MAJOR artist's block on what to do. Here's where you lovely people come in. Throw out a few ideas here in the thread. Mascot ideas, scenery, actions for the character(s), items, whatever! Just three basic rules: -Keep it on topic, PA stuff only -keep it origional (don't want any companies dropping the copywrite banhammer on us or me  )-keep it clean (I'm all about girl mascots, not about "life Drawings" of said mascots. *points finger at mr. clean and tinker* watching you two )Have at it! |

Some ideas so far: -Admin specific (mighty warlord for MBG, dastardly hansome vendor for Tink, PA Mr. Clean for mr. clean, etc. -raiders -nomads/survivors -mercs and soldiers -tribals -mutants -random rusty tech and robots -not very good at drawing them as it is not my field, but PA vehicles |

A few concepts are in the works. Decided to start with tribals and raiders first as those sound the most interesting to me. Aiming for 10 profile avatar pics per group and gender as a starting point, and so far I have the following: Tribal: a spearman, tribal leader/warchief, shaman/witchdoktor/juju man, warrior, standard tribesperson, hunter, boomstick wielder, beast rider, tribal mutant, and cannibal tribesman/butcher/cook. Raiders: Warlord, battlewagon crewmember, itchy trigger finger person, choppy person, punk style, psycho, muscle, speedfreak, masked killer, and druggie (maybe i'll water this one down a bit for the kiddies  )

While I have never done animation I did take Mass Media in college and sometimes the best story is the simplistic one.... My thoughts would be to make a sniper perhaps, gas mask, etc, totally obscured as to who it is or what sex. Story arc is whatever, but X has some type of mission, the confrontations that they have have some meaning, then have some cool ending finale of some type, then reveal the character a bit more in the end. During the story tangle in some of the character's bio but not giving too much away. |

Not bad Styx I really like it, but I was going for a basic animation loop for the forum title banner. Perhaps later on when we get into the nitty gritty animation sessions like the Disney animators do, I'll give that a go! |

Would you care to be the character drying the spammer hide Tink? Perhaps a sniper rifle hunter character bagging a kill and standing over it like a hunter on a deer. Ooooh so many ideas with that one. Don't be shy people, if you think its stupid, dumb, clever, funny, whatever throw it up here. The more the merrier! |

Really funky ideas for the avatars  I'll have a think on possible suggestions If you ever get majorly stuck for ideas, you could try having a wander through the incharacter threads in the forums? |

@Foe42 Epic! Definately doing that one. @VLD Haven't been in that kneck of the woods in a while, that WOULD be a great place for ideas. Preliminary sketches have been finished on my first attempt of a banner. It will feature a hazmat soldier from the CDC who ran into a spot of trouble after his suit was torn up during a trip to the local dumping site. After the apocalypse, he still wanders the wastes, just now a little worse for ware as he is a mutant confined to his suit to stay alive. He can be seen crouching over a leaky barrel, his suit shredded and his face pannel smashed in with a grisley mutated taloned arm and demolished gasmask. Pictures will come soon! |
