There are a couple of rusting and weathering tutorials in the WIP section. For a full rusty car spray it first with Red Oxide car primer. The quickest way is to dab bestial brown on the rusted areas. Then put fiery orange over the top in smaller amounts. Try to blend it a bit with a damp brush when wet. When the paints dry a a couple of brown and orange washes over the rust will help blend it. |

From my post with Tescos toy cars... http://s1.zetaboards.com/Post_Apoc_Wargames/topic/4803908/1/ The weathering is done by using GW liquid green stuff to stipple over flat [boring] areas to give it some texture for when I drybrush it, I also use it to blend stuck on parts to the main body to created a smooth or welded look. The bleeding from the rust and bolts is simply black wash blobbed on and dragged downwards. Simple recipe: Black base Dark metal Drybrush light metal Stipple brown Stipple orange red/mud wash the whole thing edge with bright silver stipple/wetbrush many body colour weather approriate areas with black or red wash Matt sealer. |
