Very nice work. Humongous will be very pleased. Is it a heavily modified DF renegade or a scratch build? |

Thanks all! I 'forgot' that paint thinner melts plastic, so my first 2 renegades and Interceptor are looking more like slag than the cars they are meant to be.... But I have the chassis for them still, and extra bits. The model I used was already put together, with glue, so I need to salvage what I had. I was first going to build a fairly straight forward Renegade. Then I did a web search and saw pictures of what other people did and my mind raced. So I played around with the model for an hour or so. (This is my deep creative 'process' which is basically me staring at the model for a while as I day dream) And the thought of the double-decker came to me. So the bottom chassis has the seat cut out so as to make a smooth fit, and then I just began to add bits, etc. The real trick was to make it look 'P/A' while still providing the 8 magnetized hard points for the weaps. The models themselves are rather uninspiring, but that just means they are semi-blank canvasses to work on. |

I wish sooner, but I'm up to my ears with essays and finals to grade. So goes university life.... I put a little color on it already, but I'm sure it won't be done till the end of next month. GREAT buildings BTW! Totally stealing some ideas! |
