Thanks! Say, what's the mini in your avatar? I think I saw some similar figs in my friend's figs last night, but he didn't know what they were as he had bought them already painted and based. |

Its from Across the Dead Earth. The Kickstarter has just shipped and has arrived with most of the backers. So you can buy them now. Its Squint from the State Gang I was lucky enough to be a beta tester and get a character named after me ![]() http://www.deadearth.co.uk/?page_id=796 |

I recently finished painting up batches of cops from West Wind and Tactical Miniatures. Very pleased with both lines, though they are quite different in style. It was a first for me as I tried a bit of freehand (with mixed results) on the Chicago Flag insignia. Regardless, I finally have some figs to accompany my CPD cruisers! More pics and a review of the figures here: http://chicagoskirmish.blogspot.com/2014/12/chicago-police-from-tactical-miniatures.html |

They look great and match sizewise nicely. I always though of the WW cops being quite bigger. |

Thanks! The comparison was a surprise to me too. even after buying them, my eyes were telling me that the WW figs were much taller. As it turns out they're the same height, though a bit different in girth. I think of the WW cops as slightly tubby vets who aren't trying to get the fitness bonus anymore. |

A long overdue update. I've long loved the classic Escher miniatures, but never felt I had the painting ability to do the scupts justice. However, I recently had a friend -whose painting style I really admire paint up my 15 woman Escher gang in exchange for me building him a bunch of custom terrain. And here they are! Pics of all figs front and back and plenty of details here: http://chicagoskirmish.blogspot.com/2015/09/the-exchange-with-mattias-part-2-escher.html They're all stock figures except for the figure on the left which has an interesting history... One more teaser to entice you to visit. |

I really like when contemporary painting style meets 90ties sculpts. Inspired by some guy from Poland who paints Bauhaus, I tried that with some Dark Legion mutants. Damn, those 90ties figs. The change of colour shemes might tell a bit about how our perception changed... remember how bright and colourful every mini has been, back then? Oh wow, now I finally sound like an old man. |

Got this request almost 2 years ago and I've finally finished converting the Slicks. This is two of the packs of ERM Slicks plus one of their Corporate Enforcers all from their "Corporate Wars" line. http://shop.eastridingminiatures.co.uk/corporate-wars-55-c.asp. The figs are a bit on the crude side, but I like their slightly cartoony style and at about $2 each, the price was certainly right. Probably some of my best use yet of the necromunda weapons (and others) that I've been hoarding. I'm very happy with the way these have turned out. A few of the conversions are a bit forced, but overall, I think they look good and the trouble in removing the huge cast-on bases (and replacing broken feet with Heroclix feet) and putting them on Sedition Wars scenic bases has turned out to be well worth it. In a week or so these will be off to a buddy of mine who is painting them for me in exchange for me converting and painting up a Fisher Price Parking Garage for him. Whole Gang Leaders, etc The old Warzone chainsword is a very nice size for non-space-marine characters, and the old ork bolt pistol is a medium size that could probably be run as a bolter or bolt pistol. Heavies Reaper Flamethrower and tanks, Cadian Grenade Launcher (might be a good starter leader) and a Van Saar Heavy Stubber. The Last two were both made from the Slick figure with arms out to the sides. Some careful limb bending made for much easier conversion. Long Guns. Las and Autoguns from Necromunda weapon sprues (love those things). Various Pistols and Shotgun Basic weapon swaps. The flame pistol should be fun... More Pistols. The Stub gunner on the right is one of only two stock figures (the long haired shotgunner with glasses is the other) |

The Necromunda weapons match up very well to the Slicks, as do the Hero Clix feet! Nice conversions. |

Great looking conversions. They paint up well and quite quickly. I look forward to seeing them finished. |
