Mutant Hunter

Is there farming in your PA worlds, or, at least, on your tabletops? And I'm not talking about all those nice and shiny hydroponics back at the dome/bunker/vault. Raiding is all very nice, but what do you raid? Mutant livestock rustling? Sapient sheep snatching? Keeping in mind that I'm talking about the poor sods stuck outside on the surface, where many of the post-modern niceties have evaporated. It'll take lots of people all their time to feed themselves and anyone clever enough to do things they can't but still need, like doctors, metal smiths, etc. It would be about the mid-1800's or so with readily available tech and skills, so maybe 1 to 2 acres per person per year depending on the type of crops. Less area if they really like potatoes. |
