Thanks for the encouraging words guys. Being fairly noob to plasticard, I was wondering if anyone knew of an online supplier that sells larger sized sheets. I really don't want to have to do the tower floors in pieces. I'm using the pdf scan of all the card terrain for templates, wich makes it a little wonky due to blurry scans and low quality printouts but it works well enough imo. tink: I'm not really sure to be honest(im just using what I had on hand), wich kinda sucks for when it comes time to order more. I'll have to measure it out sometime, but its one thick layer as the basic wall(1-1.5mm), and three thinner layers (possibly 0.4-0.6mm). I'm using the pdf scan of all the card terrain for templates, wich makes it a little wonky due to blurry scans and low quality printouts but it works well enough imo. |

When ya learn the thickness let me know. I have some bulkheads but never any of the card. I did start to make some card terrain using Comicbook backing storage sheets. |

You can order sheets of plasticard from Plastruct. The largest sheet they produce for purchase is 12"x36" and in a lot of different thicknesses. I also recommend ordering the plastic sheet cutter (code HT-2) as it will save you from going through a short ton of utility knife blades or xacto blades. |

I being a complete hermit didnt even think to look for local hobby shops untill a few hours ago. I actually found one local that specialises in rc cars and planes, but he owner was kind enough to order me a pack of 8 12"x24" sheets and 30% off retail. Tink: As close as I can measure the base layer i used was .030 inches and the thin sheets were .010inches Digitarii: Thanks for the tip, I'll have to look into getting one. I'll defo have to get some diamond plate when i get to parts that have it on the cardboard. I just last week sold a few magic the gathering cards from ~2003-2006 on ebay and made a quick 80 bucks to help fund the hive construction otherwise the project would never have lifted off the ground. Biggest p.i.t.a. so far is finding bulkheads for less than rediculous prices on ebay. GW needs to sell those things again! I may end up having to *COUGH* recast *COUGH* some or trying to scratch build some to cast at some point. |
