Hello DRommel it's been a bit of time since we've seen you, and it's always nice to see those wonderfully painted miniatures of yours!!

Thanks for the comments!

Here's some WIP stuff for you.

Need your advice. Slowly getting to the female part of the platoon.

Dug through a large number of miniatures before I found something that suits my purposes.

From left to right:

Chapter House female IG with FW renegade militia arms and female Catachan head;

Escher trooper, largely unchanged;

Female Catachan trooper with a custom head (part of sculpting commission, done by Brother Vinni for me; this is a test bald head; future versions will have different combinations of mohawks, goggles, gas masks etc - and yes, they will be available for purchase);

Copplestone military female, unchanged.

I plan to use different female minis of said manufacturers, but not deviating from the scale and style set above.

Here they are next to male troopers:

What do you think? Do they look good next to each other? Is there anything that needs adjusting or changing?

And here's something different. Non-Chem-Dog, but I think these guys look post-apocalyptic to the boot.

In preparation to 6th Edition's cultists.

I didn't want to make another Traitor Guard so I went for the more classic look, but instead of simply using Flagellants I picked up some Skaven and Mantic Zombie kits for a more twisted, miscreant type of mob rather than just guardsmen with horned helmets or Flagellants with a couple Chaos bits.

Many are missing heads and weapons as I am waiting for some resin goodies to arrive ^^

I also plan to mix some Redemptionists here, and, of course, the starter box cultists.

The inspiration mainly came from old Fantasy Battles version of Redemptionists, who were Khornate back then!

What do you think?

(and for those who want to know what army are they for... Here's a linky: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/460924.page
Warning: contains a lethal dose of skulls and big red titties)

Those ladies look okay to me. Just be sure to tie the unit together using colour or insignia.

The cultists look great. Those headless ones will be terrifying to come up against!! :D

I agree the ladies tend to be sightly shorter than men, so those will be fantastic!

Beautiful work there, in an acrid, poisonous way. I'd love a force like that!

At one time there was supposed to a Female Catachan set made by the same guys that made the Female Cadian set. I'm not sure what became of it. Greens were produced but, as far as I know, actually castings never materialized.
