Partly inspired by the caverns set that is on LAF, I finally got off my ass and decided to build a modular underground bunker/tunnel system set.

here was my test piece. I'm plannin on using 12"x12" floor tiles (thanks be to inkwell for the idea) on the actual project. i havnt decided if i want to finish the pieces concrete style or metal pannel style, i may do both half and half on this piece to see. may even do some of both.

Depending on how the pieces pan out, i may end up doing smaller coridor tiles as well 6"x6" 6"x12" etc.

heres what im working with atm:

Very, very good start! I really like the look of those and think a mix of both metal and concrete will work out the best. The contrast will help make it pop.Fricking sweet

Nice idea, and effective building skills too!

Is the insulation for saving the formcore from wear and tear, or do you have a more devious intent?

the insulation is there to bulk out and add some stability @ $11.48 for a 4'x8' sheet its way cheaper to use for the bulk support and "insides" than foamcore or expanding foam.

I am having issues with the tiles though, how the shit does one make stuff stick to it, i tried hot glue and white glue but it peels right off haha.

I will tell ya ! I use the cheap white glue, generally I leave it open a couple nights to thicken it up and it sticks like ,well glue. A good amount ,dont be stingy. After the bottom dries over night I will lay a bead around the bottom and I dont have a problem.Try that .My stuff is STURDY and thats the way I do it. Slightly mistified Inky :zhypno: Try weighting it down, hmmm

thanks for the comments guys. I had intended to use it for 28mm but it could easily be viable for 20mm with a bit of scale details added arround before the game

It is on the way eventually. I'll probably be working on this stuff along side the necromunda terrain. I've been told I need to finish that tunnel table for use in various necromunda scenarios to add some variation from the towers and catwalks.
