Lol - no, not quite. And if they were 1950's ideas of vikings, there would have been lots of horned helmets! lol

Good stuff. This lot are shaping up nicely. How much more to do on this project?

I like the flesh tones on that last figure, but I thought that you have sculpted a beard! So when are you off to Scotland to hang around castles shouting "your mother was a Hamster and your father smelt of Elderberries!" in a dubious accent?!

Not off to Scotland, but there will be some castle hanging around in a couple of months time (Corfe for one). The beard has been gone since early december.

Lots more to go with this project - another 5 bases of saxons, then it's onto the vikings (got about 10 bases worth), then Ancient germans (another 6-8 bases worth + the new Warlord figures when they come out), arthurians (5-7 bases), more early saxons (3 or 4 bases), Huns (10 bases of cavalry) and Celts (about 6-8 bases worth)......

If I'm honest - I have no idea. I appear to be turning more into a collector than a gamer :-/ Reenactment (AKA 1:1 skirmish gaming...) takes up quite a bit of 'free' time, as does parent visiting. Inbetween the two, it doesn't leave much time for acutally playing gmaes (Especially as most of my local gaming buddies have since moved away)

Man that is some cool stuff!

The minis and the re-enacting!

I was once told i would i would make a great WW2 German and invited to a re-enactment.

Kinda strange.I'm a shy person by nature.

Thanks UBBA - I'm not sure that being shy or not makes too much difference. For the fights, we won't be talking with the public, and are usually grouped into 'warbands' of our own individual society's/groups. The only interaction with tthe otherside is hitting them!

In terms of living history, then there is a much greater potential for interaction, but seldom actually happens. Most folks walk by, looking vaguely bewildered and treating us like moving exhibits in a wax works. Then again, of the two groups of people who were talking to me, 1 was a pretty early 20 something trying to chat me up ;)

@ Tinker - Actually a few of them do game, so I may yet get some more regualr gaming meetings in.

Think you've all seen these before, but thought I'd pop them up now that they've been flocked... Romano-British, Early saxons, Franks, Vikingr and Mid-late Anglo-Saxons/Englisc

Great work. The flocking really make the minis. So which one is Frank? Do the others talk to him? :D

I think it's technically a wyvern, but I doubt my saxons will care about the exact details. Afterall, it'd big, scaly and flies so it's got to be a dragon of some sort ;)

Love your stuff - great work!
I also played HOTT once or twice...
...didn't like the rules too much and switched over to Basic Impetus Fantasy variant.

Regards,
Thomas
