Hey guys just thought I would share some of the models I'm developing, this is the Newton Gravitruck, its a Dieselpunk style truck, designed to be modular so it can be used for several purposes the kit will come with parts for at least 2 variations on cab and rear body, the design is slightly over scale to allow easy modification and extra detail, much the way GW design their vehicles, it can be made to look pre-war or PA. I've included a mock ad and a shot of the card scale model being mocked up, I will add more shots as I progress, full rules for the vehicle are included in the Ashes of the Apocalypse rulebook. Let me know what you think!![]() ![]() Edited by Mortius, Jul 4 2011, 12:42 PM.

Yeah, I'm going to have the option in there, I want the kit to be as universal as possible, the magnet things and the wheels will mount onto the standard style axles, I want to keep the retro future look, I have some nice medium and light vehicles in the works too, I'll pop my new concepts up with the pickup and raider front options on. |

Yeah I thought they look too thin on the front facing drawing, I'm going to make them hexagonal at the ends instead, here are a few more pics including the PA add-ons I have planned. Sorry for the quality as I am just taking pics on my phone.

I like the style and atmosphere of the vehicle. ! It combines the prewar/early war and the future as if it's eternal 1942.. I'm not to keen on the anti grav thingies. It looks a bit as if they replaced the wheels as an afterthought instead of being designed as an anti grav truck from the start. (sorry) Maybe if you replaced the small pair on the back with one heavy/long version. more like a halftrack. The heavier/powerfull rear anti gravs for carrying the load, the smaller front engines are used to steer. just my thoughts. good luck with these models. Keep posting! |

Maybe thats the way of the future? ![]() Before the collapse of the vehicle manufacturing industry in 2032 China had begun to export small anti-grav units designed to be retrofitted into older vehicles. These units replaced the wheel assemblies whilst still retaining the vehicles steering assembly to reduce costs. Some experts claim that these cheap imports led to the downfall of the motor industry but others disagree citing poor management and union strike action as key reasons. During the collapse the imports continued to grow as demand steeply rose. Anti Grav units soon became cheaper to install than a new set of premium tyres and soon the majority of vehicles seen on our roads were sporting the imported technology. Some governments around the world subsidised these units as they reduced the wear and tear on the road infrastructure and greatly reduced maintenance costs. |

Hollander, any comment is useful so no need to apologise, I was trying to make these anti grab drives look big and industrial (no frills) but the one fitted to my smaller cars are more stylized and feature sleek chromed teardrop shaped drives. Liking the fluff there mango, that will come in handy! Its common for manufacturers to retro fit parts to cut costs, so if they spent all their money developing the antigrav drive they didn't redesign the body, a good example of this is the v8 MGZT they spent so much developing the new floor and transmission they had no money to restyle it and it looked the same as the standard model, so it is plausible. |

Don't worry I won't apologise. You asked for a comment, I expressed my thoughts including the less positive, that inspired Mango to write some fluff, you like the fluff, so by expressing my thoughts, I sparked another idea. I'm happy, Mango is happy, you are happy. NoW that we are all happy there is no need to thank me. Sharing thoughts and ideas is always a good idea.. that's what I like about this forum. You realize, of course, that, when this goes into production, the antigrav "wheel" bits will have to be available individually for modding our own vehicles. |
