Supposed to have the look of an improvised settlement, i knocked these up today. found a new super glue that you can use on polystyrene, its like a prit stick (to the brits). Have a gander, they are nothing special but they should look nice once i paint them up, anyone got any good tips on how to ceal the foam before i undercoat it? ![]() some kind of factory/water treatment plant ![]() hovel 1 ![]() hovel 2 ![]() a shop ![]() ![]() a small town center made up of a shop/saloon and building with two glass roofs. ![]() sorry about the pics they are very bright. i am intending to sell these, any obvious pointers before the undercoat goes on? thanks for all the feedback guys. these should catch up with me in manchester tomorow then i can get some progress on them by the end of the week. if you want the rough cut concrete look its barely a secret but more of a tip, i just used a hack saw, haha it gives a lovely rough cut. im not really in the mood for entirely GREY buildings. any ideas on how i can add some paint other than graffiti without the color looking forced or to bright? maybe some quickshade could bring it down a bit. Try washes in the colour you want. Keeping over a gray or black under coat will keep it toned down |

There are lots of details on your buildings that collect dust, water, rust, algae, black molds whatever you fancy. Use a wash in the dilluted color of your choice and smear it where the dirt collects. then smear down along the wall gently (follow the same pattern as water would flow down) and let it dry undisturbed. The pipe/tube things on your building could be rusted metal adding tones of reddish/orange or chemineys, adding black. Hope this comment is useful... l |

..stick a piece of metal wire the concrete is damaged, paint that rust/brown and let it spill oer the area surrounding the damage. it will break up your plain grey concrete and add some character to the building |
