More fodder from the paint table... First up a denizen of Lockdown Palace. Lockdown Palace was a pre apoc prison that the surviving inmates took over. Today they wear a mix of prison and guard garb. ![]() This idea was pinched from Borderlands (excellent game with lots of PA inspiration) and this guy along with others from this faction my turn up in my not Borderlands space opera setting on Grimm's world. And more additions for my Anarchists factions (see my new background). First up Skindred. He hails from the Nukadona Mountains in the Brittannia wastes and often hangs with the Manic Wasteland Preachers. He does cause some problems with them as his favourite battle cry is "Nobody gets out of here alive!". His coat is made from a old flag he found in the ruins. ![]() ![]() Skindred is based upon the singer from the Band Skindred and his coat from the Download festival (google Skindread Download). Who says real life cant influence your games? The mini is a Kallistra Sci-Fi one with added putty dread locks. That reminds me - I must add Lista's dears at some point. What use is an army of loony anarchists without a loony leader?? Introducing General Anarchy!! ![]() General Anarchy leads the Wasteland Loonies gang of Anarchists. He takes upon himself to destroy all things from the before times and prevents wastelanders building more than they need to survive. He believes that man is now truly free and works to stop governments and organisations from forming. The mini is a Kallistra Sci-Fi one and the fluff is nicked from Ramshackle's Nuclear Renaissance. Last up another Anarchist Chick, Klarrissa. She lost a leg to a mutant and got a spanking new bionic one. Klarrissa is famous for liking the boys a bit too much. Only get too close to her if you like it rough! ![]() ![]() I picked up this GW Necromunda Esher chopped up as part of deal on Evilbay. She had a weapon and half a leg missing. I grafted a new one on from a 40K Necron. Edited by mattblackgod, Oct 6 2017, 09:45 PM.

Out of the town of Laird, The Society of Explorers and Adventures (SEA for short). The Society goes beyond the town's wall to investigate the wastes. They are a hardy lot that have seen much action. More often or not they get 'assigned' missions to go tackle any mutant nasties that Laird's traders have run into. When they are not doing this they are out searching the old ruins and making maps. They are a good soucre of old tech for the town of Laird. ![]() First up - in order I photoed them in! The Trouble Twins. ![]() The twins are hardened mutant beast hunters. Both of them have lost limbs during their exploits. Their experience of mutant monsters makes them valuable to the team. Professor Brainiac. ![]() Old Brainiac loves old world tech and has a interest in studying the mutant creatures out in the wastelands. Although he deplores the killing of the mutants and despite his grumblings to the team he understands that often killing the critter is the only way to stop it trying to eat you. In addition to his intrests he like old world history and is a handy character to have in the field. Captain Fishbreath. ![]() Old Fishbreath came to Laird many years after hanging his hat up as a fisherman in Sequeena. He is a rough character that provides the brawn for the team. Fishbreath loves a good scrap and getting drunk. More often than not any old world grogg the team finds in the wastes will be gone by the time they get home. Tom Tom and Smoggy. ![]() Tom Tom (Tom Squared as the Proff calls him) is a Stalker and operates with the backing of his friends in the Society. With their combined knowledge the team are rather effective. Tom Tom is accompanied everywhere by his faithful canine friend Smoggy. Smoggy got his name from the smells he creates and he is the only mutt in the Wastes with his own gas mask. Despite wearing the Mask Smoggy often gives the team advanced warning of something unpleasant and hungry near by. The minis are from Lead Adventurers and are the Expedition into Mutant Land Blister. They paint up well. There is enough detail to be interesting but not too over the top. I like them. I hope to add more to my collection some day. |
