Looking at my mini collection I decided that I may stick with 28mm as the scale for my space opera. I have been making some terrain that fits both Post Apoc and Frontier worlds. However there is some bits that wont fit Post Apoc. Welcome to the Space Port Dock or Warehouse.... ![]() ![]() Massive pallets moveable only by some sort of loader. They started life as individual Sushi snack packs from my local supermarket (Tesco to all those in the UK). I was going to throw the box when I realised that they looked a little like a high tech pallet. Clean it, spray it white and add some details. Cheap, easy, simple!

You know the PC speakers that aren't bult into the screen, the ones on cables, the old school ones, anyway, pretend you know what I'm on about, I had a pair in my box-o-random-crap. Today when cleaning said box of a kilogram of mouse crap and the deceased offender I contemplated throwing the speakers out. Rolling it around trying to "visualise" a use for it I took off the front. Put on the table face down (which is of course now sits flat...) they look like storage sheds or bunker entrances. Just a thought.... |

Don't ask for the ingredients in the rat pudding either. Better kept as a family secret, though I pray to God everyday that they are able to unsee the unholy horrors of it's creation. ![]() |

Naw, I'm planning a trip up to the City of the Big Shoulders soon. There they have so many rats they run through the streets during the day! "I am curious....how do you make rat pudding?!" Why, very well thank you!

Hey Tinker, your thinking of NewYork. The rats there are un-frickin-beliveable!I saw them running around in Times Square in the middle of the day and they were HUGE! Although that was a long time ago. In Chicago theres NO rat problem......just ask ex-mayor Daley. Brian |

Maybe I was in New York, but it sure did look like Chicago. Then again it wasn't big enough to make a fitting meal. Maybe it was just a snack Rat, like those New "Popcorn Rat" bitz. |

Time for some updates to the old Sci-Fi Terrain... First up the gun tower - D1 ![]() ![]() This was a Sci-fi watchtower I made eons back. I decided to relife it for my Sci-Fi games. The tower had the windows reworked so it appears to have stone slabs over what would have been the windows (self adhesive antislip rubber feet things). I drilled the corners with a pin drill to give them the bolted on look. The top had the stupid mesh removed and a lego gun on a bottle top fitted. A quick repaint and she is ready for action. I plan for this to be a objective in a future game. Storage Tank B4. ![]() ![]() ![]() Storage Tank B3. ![]() ![]() ![]() These storage tanks are CD tower stacks. Cheap and very cheerful. The ladders are made from mesh and the pipes are plumbers solder. The control panels are made from cereal packet card and fuse wire. I am impressed how quickly these went together. When I find more I will be making some for my PA/Stalker setting. These are the property of the KROM corporation. These assets will be protected by our friends the Red Lance. Storage Tower B2. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Those of you who know my work may recognise this as my old Storage Tower 108. This was relifed for the Sci-Fi games by rebasing and a repaint to match the terrain set. A few new signs where added too. I am working with a blue stripe for these although the world the are on should use either green or red. Green is the colour of the planet Grimwas livery and Red is the colour of choice of the Krom corporation. It is 3 pringles tubes, foamboard, old net curtain for the mesh texture, wire mesh, a plastruct ladder, drink straws, bamboo skewers and bits of a lego toy. |

Sci-Fi packing crates....![]() ![]() Eeeew! What is that blue slime on those crates?? These are made from my collection of plastic bottle caps. Glue them together and paint. Some signs are hand painted others are printed with my printer. They where quick jobs and I think some of the hand painted ones could do with a touch up!
