Hey

Startet painting my Brass Coffin so i tought i post the how to here.Maybe you see something you like, maybe not :P
Basecoat:

After cleaning the Model i basecoated the Hull with Olive Drab and Earth Brown Spraypaints from Tamiya.Otherwise you can Black Prime yr Model and Drybrush it with Bestial Brown/Catachan Green for example. This works best for Bright Main Colors. If youre going for a more dark/military Color then Basecoat the Model Black and drybrush it with Dark Flesh/Terracotta like Paints...
VERY IMPORTANT: Seal the Models Surface with Purity Seal or Matt Varnish before the next Steps

Next up:The Masking.I used a Meat Marmite from the Supermarket for this- very effective and a nice Smell ;) Paint it on all the Parts on the Model where you want to have some chipped off Paint/Rust Effect and let it completely dry

Now you can paint the Model with the Maincolor you want.In this Case its Scorpion Green applied with an Airbrush Kit to save Time,if you do this Step with a Brush then water down the Paint as much as possible!

After the Paint is dried remove the Marmite with a Sponge/Toothbrush and warm soapy Water

Now the Vehicle looks like this:

After that i painted all the Mechanics,Engines;Grills etc and sparely Highlightet the Edges with Chainmail...

...and added some more Rust with watered down Vermin Brown/Devlan Mud Wash Mix

Last but not least i brushed the Underside of the Hull with a Mix of Earth Brown/Sand Pigments.

Now i have to get back to the Table and Paint the Rest of the Brass Coffing so stay tuned if you like :)
