Here is the first of my 20mm gangs/factions for post-apocalyptic games:

The cultists are my favorite figures from the old Dark Future line.

Below is the first of an opposing cult:

This is one of several 20mm cultist figures I picked up from Elhiem. They wear creepy masks instead of gas masks or goggles.
I still have a several of these to paint.

If you are willing to buy from the UK, you can often find them on e-Bay. I sometimes get duplicates when I buy small lots to pick up specific
Dark Future figures I am looking for. I may post them in the trade forum when I do.

The Dark Future figures really are the top of the line, despite being so old. Elhiem and Aberrant have some good stuff. Some of the Stan Johansen figures are quite good too. The problem is that the releases are very slow in 20mm scale.

Next up are the savages or Mohawk gang:

The first two are ones that I painted. They are great sculpts and have a lot of detail.

The rest of these Dark Future and Road Warriors were painted for me by Adam at Fineline Studio. I think he did a terrific job with them.
I tend to paint in a darker, grungier style, so I find his vibrant use of colors refreshing. He added cool stuff like warpaint, tattoos and other little details. They really stand out on the battlefield.

Up next will be the gang with gas masks and the helmet gang. I am doing some touch ups on those, but I'll post them soon.

Great stuff, the dark future line has really aged well, shame they are so difficult to get your hands on these days.

Oddly enough, I found it easier to build a collection of the figures now than 10 years ago when I first tried to put together a collection.
They sold on e-Bay even more sporadically then and hardly ever in large groups where you could get a proper collection started properly.

As long as you buy outside the U.S., you can usually find some good stuff.

Where did you pick up the old Dark Future minis? I haven't found many online. Cool stuff, man. What's the background?

I mostly pick them up on e-Bay or through trades. I have a few up in the trade forum right now.

The background is a repainted Marvel Heroscape ruined building. I have a bunch of them and they work well for 28mm, 20mm, or 15mm.

I have not worked on 20mm stuff for a while, so I decided to tackle some Elhiem zombies for the wasteland to get some practice:

Their female zombie sculpts are actually quite nice. The male zombies are much cruder in design.
