I was mooching about the local DIY store when I spotted packs of self adhesive vinyl floor tiles. They are 1.5mm thick about a foot square and come in some interesting wasteland/stone patterns. I was wondering if anyone has tried them as terrain boards? I was thinking a bit of flock and some paint and instant terrain board. |

Never heard of them, are they like a textured, adhesive wallpaper-like material? Instant roads if you have a good basing material! |

They look something like this. I just wondered if anyone had used them for floors as I am concerned about how flexible they are and if they may warp. I guess I may have to take the plunge and experiment. |

I'd considered using these, I was going to put them on cork tile to avoid warping, tho it may just be cheaper to buy Lino in the same kinda pattern |

I think that if you base them on something that won't warp, they'll be fine. Don't try appliying them to paperboard or anything LOL. Pretty sure I have these tiles in my bathroom.

Had a stack leftover from a home project, so I mounted them on foam core with insulation foam walls to make a modular dungeon set. Ended up donating it to the local game store's D&D club. They work fine, especially mounted on something else for stiffness. I'm not a fan of seams criss-crossing my battlefield tho... |

Some cheese gamers like the seams it gives them a way to pre-measure for shots. |
