Welcome to the Offices of the Wasteland Express...a Courier Service. Need a message or package delivering to someone out there in the Wastelands...then we are the people for you! Wasteland Express is building offices in every major town across the wastes. The offices have a distinctive look despite being built from locally recycled (scavenged) materials. The head office is in some old Temple hence the arches. They ship them out to every new office for the build. The Offices also double as a strong point and have a couple of black powder cannonette on the roof (some of these may be modified to Rail/Tesla options depending on the area) for defence. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Each office has its own private outhouse.... ![]() This is a GW Watch tower I got as a Xmas gift. I was looking for a reason to use it a lot rather than a set piece for a certain place/faction or character. Hence Wasteland Express (minis and vehicle to follow) was born (Fallout Vegas inspired the Courier idea). I took what I could off it and squared up some windows with lintels. Some detail was hidden with wooden planks which I hope will add a PA look to it. The spikes where shaved from the windows and bars added. Signs were made up and printed off. The tyres are from some Tonka toys and the barrel and box came from a old GW 40K accessory set. Simples. |

Looks like the web had a freakout and posted that last post a few times. Mind if I cull a few Dr? I like that postman mini - I am also planning on using the Not Futurama figures from the Golgo Island range!

No worries it is trimmed. I figured that not all Wasteland buildings would be corrugated shacks or partial ruins - aka Fallout. After all if people in the deserts and in medieval times could build - buildings why not in a PA setting? I have been toying with the idea of a PA adobe city for some time now. Another idea is buildings built from lumps of concrete in a dry wall style. |

Very nice piece! But that bloke with gasmask, strawhat, shotgun and sword on his back? I've got him and I've seen him creep up on a lot of pics around this site. He's always differently dressed, so there must be a whole clone clan of them...

Excellent! Great alternative use of a GW fantasy building. Even in a run down PA world they're probably more reliable than our present day mail. Strawhat guy does seem to get around a bit on this board, I've got one I need to paint up too... |

Danny, nice job! When I was talking about this conversion with you I thought it was the New Tower ruin that you were going to convert! Again, very nice work.

Cheers guys. The wizards tower wasnt out when the Missus went Xmas shopping. I suspect I would have gotten that instead as she was full of Ooohs and Aaaaas when she saw it. I suspect that will be a real pain to PA as there is lots of statues and friezes of skulls all over the thing. If I did pick it up I would have to do a serious amount of trimming and adding corrugated card coverings to the holes. |
