HI all, i realise this is lazy, but to be honest i dont have the time to trawl thru every link looking for the answers i need so....... After having played Diceheads excelent wasteland rules ive decided that not only do i want to play it in 28mm at my regular gaming location but id rather like playing a solo campaign at my house but due to space constraints 15mm is the only option so i could do with your wealth of experience in where to get 15mm mini's and terrain suitable for the genre please.... and also what trainset gauge is the correctish scale for 15mm please? Thanks a lot a regular lurker PS. im based in the UK so id rather order from here than abroad if possible. |

The best source I found was 15mm co uk they are in the UK and have a huge stash of sci-fi stuff. Ground Zero Games do some great figures and are super speedy with their postage. Irregular do some good stuff, if nobody else sells it they probably do! That's where I got the core of my figures from, hope that helps. Most HO stuff will scale well with 15mm. 15mm is supposed to be 1:100, HO is 1:87. It sounds like a big difference but when you're talking millimetres it looks pretty much right. I second Dicehead's recommendation of 15mm.co.uk. Great minis, and several post-apocalyptic sculpts! I'd also recommend Rebel Minis; they're US-based, but their shipping cost is a 5$ flat cost EVERYWHERE, which is quite good IMHO, plus they have a good number of quality minis. If you'd like a somewhat more "realistic" feel to your post-apoc setting, you can also use modern-era models such as Peter Pig and QRF, both of which are UK-based and have a VAST selection of figures and vehicles to choose from (though some sculpts are a bit dated). |

You're welcome ![]() By the way, is there an import tax for small-time stuff ordered from US vendors and shipped to the UK? If no (or if the situation is like here in Israel, where you don't pay tax for a package below $50 in value), there are a few more US-based vendors I'd recommend. |

yeah we pay import tax if over a certain amount, i cant remember the exact amount but it isnt very large, but i'll pay it to get miniatures i want if i cant get them in the UK, cant be worse than the duty i pay on importing airsoft gear Ive already managed to order about 160 pounds of gear thru the sites suggested... still need vehicles and terrain, tho i'll probally try to make my own terrain from the almighty cork Edited by rikitikitava, Jan 13 2011, 06:57 PM.

Actually, there's a cheap alternative to 'standard' vehicles. Hotwheels/Matchbox cars are nice for 20mm, so they should fit pretty well at 15mm. Gives you a nice solution for civvie vehicles, and it's simple enough to slap on armor and the like to make them fit in that much better. |

If you are based in the UK, then a trip to your local Wilkos or poundshop would be in order. I bought a pack of 30 cars from Wilkos for a couple of quid that scale much better with 15mm than the Hotwheels stuff does. They are no great shakes to look at but a bit of plasticard armour, some spikes and a chaingun on top makes all the difference. You might also pick up some military-looking stuff from those shops too. |

Another recommendation is Khurasan Miniatures; a lot of good, very highly detailed stuff, some of which would be perfect for post-apocalypse. |
