Trolling the toy section at the good ol dollar general and I came across several intresting finds.I found this set that had 2 concrete barriers, some road signs, traffic cones and this false frontbulding all for 3.00!! I bought them out So here is my wip on the bulding.Very nice little ruins ,I've just got it based on ceramic tile and the walls are still drying ,its got a long wat to go but man ,cheap and cool? Two of my favorite things! Hey on a related note does any one else use cermaic tiles as bases?I can highly recomend them. They come in all kinds of sizes, add a good heft and anround here thats a plus.I've got this one player, super nice guy but he's like a vegi pgmy on miracle grow! ALWAYS bumping stuff. And tile never warps, nothing breaks my heart more then working on a super nice peice and the damn base bows....oh I hate that

Good lookin out Tink, you da man. I can relate to being broke ,got layed off from the job in advertising sales just this month .Working the system but it takes a while,if it wasn't for ebay I would be screwed. Glad to be a catalyst though you guys have been a tremendous help to me .Tile works really super just becareful of the thickness.Cheap floor tiles are better but smaller wall tiles can often be had for free.I live about half a block away from a flooring place and I do commando raids on the dumpster

I do a little dumpster diving myself, there is some great stuff to be had. When my wife goes with me on a raid we call it our dumpster date..........no not that kind of date. Dirty mind you got there, very dirty. Brian Edited by Mr. Clean, Dec 21 2010, 05:41 PM.

Here's some shots of the liitle stuff. Pretty spot on scale ,you get 2 barrells, damn that label stick stuff,2 concrete traffic style barriers,2traffic cones,2 portable barriers 2 signs and that false front building for......3.00.Although some one should call china and tell'em american stop signs are red. There are also 2 hotwheel size dump trucks that could way go 15mm maybe 20 but I ripped the dump part off to make a dumpster! By the way just for the record I would definately do it in a dumpster.... |

I grab stuff from the dollar store all the time. Right now there are also some false front houses and a castle with 28mm furniture. They're all pink but that's what paint is for. |

The only problem with toys is that they are just soooo random.Totally bent my little noggin around the playabilty of this one but I've got some photos of work in progress .I really need to get my printer working for some posters and definately need to work on my graffitti .I am not real happy with it but its very playable, good cover and I got to play around with diffrent methods.Man I tell you there is a HUGE diffrence from fantasy to PA.

Man that is looking sweet! Great work. The Vamp is nicely painted too. Yeah some PA games will need a lot more terrain due to the amount of ruins and the availability of automatic weapons. If you play Combat Zone, Skank, Babylons Burning. CR2 or THWG you will need it! |
