Mutant Slayer Posts: 1,612 Group: Members Member #87 Joined: Jun 17, 2009	TODAY saw the arrival at BADDAWG'S LANDING of two (2) boxes containing the following very useful and scary clix critters: a. cave bear x 1 b. acklay x 2 c. enormous carrion crawler x 1 d. giant centipede x 2 e. pod mother (think AUDREY II from LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS) x 1 f. carnage bot (GAMMA WORLD/ FO3/PULP) looking x 4 g. devil imp x 10 h. protocyborg x 1 (this is really a bizarre science experiment) x 1 i . bigger_SCARIER_ giant centipede x 2 ALL will get a bit of a DAWGIE touch up to taste, and join the other critters i have gotten from various clix lines for gaming use. DOES anyone else OUT THERE use these critters for their gaming? what about those BATTLEMECHS from clix? i have some of them that i repainted for use as industrial, agricultural, forestry, construction, and mining bots which could be reprogrammed pressed into service as warbots, or used as terrain bits (SAL'S USED BOT EMPORIUM), etc. I am also expecting another box containing nine (9) AT-43 KOLOSSUS battle armor suits. as near as i can figure these things are not true combat walkers like the UNA FIRETOADS, but are the RED BLOC answer to UNA TACARM TROOPERS (although much larger than any powered TACARM suits OUT THERE now). got them for $12.00 each of the www. DAWGIE

Wastelander Posts: 146 Group: Members Member #147 Joined: Jan 27, 2010	Dawgie, I've got a clix Mechwarrior battlemech that I re-based and use as, what I call them, a C-Bot or Combat Bot. I have several lead Battletech miniature Mechs that I use for the same reason. I think I actually got the idea from either you or someone on this site. So to you, I say thanks! Nate p.s. Mutant Slayer Posts: 1,612 Group: Members Member #87 Joined: Jun 17, 2009	WHEN i first laid my MK I EYBEBALLS on battlemechs -way back when they were first called battledroids- i saw them as useful 25-mm sci fi warbots and used them accordingly for years (complete with WHIRRR-THUDD! DAWGIE STUDIO sound effects when ever they moved on the tabletop during FGU SPACE MARINE, STRIKE FORCE ALPHA, STARGUARD, and 40K:RT daze of glory). my two all time favorite mechs were both light or medium mechs - the MARAUDER and the, ahh, umm, MUMBLE-MUMBLE-MUMBLE (brain dead is my long time story and i am sticking to it!), one of the humanoid looking mechs with a shoulder mounted auto cannon as well as a hand held shooty thing and several HMG mounting. i was devatated when i had to sell off my 40 plus mechs during a financial crisiss in the early 90s. . . then i found clix battle mechs (aftert these had been around for a while) and discovered there were a number of civvie mechs that had been pressed into military service; on most of them, i just demilitarized them back to their civvie functions for use as bots. i highly recommend the AT-43 combat walkers too!
