The Girls of K.A.O.S. (GoK) are survivors with attitude, and a sense of style. Even in the midst of an apocalypse, there is no reason to not look good. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do, and they do it well. Armed with high tech weapons and well supplied; thanks to the liberation of a huge Mormon "Doomsday" cache outside Trinidad, CO, they are carving out a niche in the time since the fall. They venture out of their fortified communities, and range primarily from the eastern foothills of the Rockies all the way to the Mississippi river, and from the borders of Aztlan and the nascent Texas Republic in the south, all the way north to the Canadian frontier. On their journeys, they look for like minded survivors and needed supplies, warily watching for the dangers lurking in this new epoch.

Capable of defending themselves, they sometimes take the offensive. Their favorite targets are the slavers and pimps that terrorize women in this new era. The letters "GoK", sprayed across the wall of a gutted slave shed, or on a burned out slaver hunting truck brings fear to the hearts of these sworn enemies. Despite the viciousness of their attacks on these misogynists, GoK are not man haters. In fact, they are always on the look out for good men, ones that share their vision of the future. A guy has to clean up well, though; scavs and muties need not apply.

Women don't get a pass, just because of their reproductive organs. The professional victims, like the ones in the Cult of Oprah, which helped bring mankind to its knees, are just as likely to end up face down in a ditch with a bullet in the back of their heads, as the animals who prey on them. GoK once even mounted a raid as far away as the Chicago rad zone, to retaliate against detachment of the man hating "NOW" (National Organization of Women) Army. GoK are feminists in the truest sense. They are not looking to create a society where women are greater than, or equal to men. Rather, they are creating one where women and men are complimentary; each others strengths combining to make the whole greater than the parts.

Interesting... A big laugh for the "Cult of Oprah". Just how big of a group is the GoK?

Interesting... A big laugh for the "Cult of Oprah". Just how big of a group is the GoK?
There are about 600 people, both female and male; young and old, affiliated with GoK; spread out in 3 fortified communities, and a dozen, or so homesteads. While every able bodied adult in the greater community (apporx 415) is tasked with its defense, GoK can field about 60 full time, fully trained and equipped fighters of both sexes. The men that have joined the group refer to the themselves as BoK. When dealing with outsiders, though, the name GoK is used; even if the group consists of all males.

At any given time, around 40-50 people are away from GoK controlled areas, on patrols, foraging, or diplomatic missions. These detachments range from 2-20 people; not all of which are fighters. People with knowledge of pre-Fall technology, and those that have proven themselves adept at scrounging often go out, accompanied by fighters, who act as body guards. Horses are used as much as possible to get around. GoK will use vehicles for missions that require rapid movement, or heavy lift capabilities. Generous amounts of ethanol are used to augment the group's meager supply of usable gasoline.

GoK maintains a regular regime of patrols; always on the look out for danger. When a threat is identified, as war council decides the best course of action in dealing with it. It is not uncommon for groups of 40-50 fighters to foray out to hunt down and engage roving bands of raiders and would be tinpot dictators. For the great Chicago rad zone raid, GoK fielded almost 100 people to retaliate against a NOW Army group that had massacred a mixed sex GoK scouting party outside of Indianola, Iowa.
