Thought I'd drop a couple of posts showing the various ruins I've done. The first one is some 25/28mm pieces I've done. None of these are in my collection, as they have all been sold off. Coming on board here has got me to thinking of building a destroyed city layout in either 20mm, or 28mm. Note, despite the presence of a Space Marine, and all the Gothic architecture, none of these was specifically built for WH40K. The Space Marine just acts as a scale reference that most everybody can identify, and I happen to think Gothic ruins look neat. Two caveats when you do the spaghetti thing: 1) If you want a clean cut, place the noodle on a flat surface. Place your blade on it, perpendicularly. Roll the noodle back and forth, scoring it with the knife, then snap it off. 2) Don't use a lot of PVA glue, or too much paint when priming. The moisture will cause the noodles to get soggy and warp. |
