Out in the Wastelands North West of Brittanna City and south of the Scav Lands lies what it thought to be the strongest fortress in the Wastes. The place is known as Vali's Fortress or Vali's Castle after the forts ruler - one Princess Vali (short for Valium - her parents thought it sounded nice!). The fort is made up from salvaged concrete slabs brought from the local ruins. These where embedded into massive ramparts to make a crude but effective fortress. The denziens of the fort keep the walls and watch towers maintained and it gets crude metal plates bolted to it to add extra protection.  First up - Princess Valium. Her fort offers traders and merchants (mainly water and fish from Sequeena on the Western Coast) a safe place to stop. Vali has a alliance with the gangs of Goode Town (Blue Noses and Toffee's Crew) to the East but has a hatred of the Analfield Wasters and the gangs of Trash Ford further East. Valium is a Celtos mini.  This little Lady is Vali's best friend and side kick.... Poison D'pussycat. She is quite vicious and collect animals. Best be nice to the beasties around here...she is good with that sword. Poison D'pussycat is a Celtos Sword Maiden.  Another of Vali's Warriors is Kalik who drifted into the fortress one night from the plague lands (so called because of the Rotting Virus "the Blight" that was used in the area during the war) of North Port. Kalik is a converted 40K Tallarn with a pump shotgun added and the dumb imperial eagles removed.   Another of Vali's men is Mad Dog Murphy (also known as Murph, and if he isnt listening "Murph the Smurf") who drifted in from the ruins to the South of the Castle. The mini is from Black Hat's Dvarg's line. I like this little guy and he has to be one of my favourite sci-fi dwarf minis.  Recently a new warrior wandered into the Fortress, claiming to be from across the northern seas. He is known as Ingvar the Silent. This mini is a creation of our very own Mal's who kindly gifted him to me (thanks again Mal!)  Sly - a young punk in the town who wants to make a name for himself. He normally gets into trouble and other members of Vali's crew have to bail him out! Em4 musician/band singer with the microphone removed and a knife added. There are more warriors coming for this faction. Please stay tuned!  |

Although he is not one of Vali's warriors Sham is a valuable asset to the fortress and not just because he is Vali's lover.  Sham is in tune with the wastelands in a way no other is. He claims he can hear its voice. This is usually backed up by the things he says coming to pass. Many folks find it strange that Sham is never attacked by beasts, mutated or otherwise. His name is legend in the wastelands around Vali's fortress. He is respected and feared for his gift is unique. Even raiders will not attack him for fear of bad luck that will descend upon them. Sham is something of a pain to Vali as he wanders off constantly often for weeks at a time. He is always accompanied by his friend (that is Sham's word for him although he does call him Brother from time to time too) - a large wolf that Sham adopted as a cub in the forests of Pictsieland. Sham is a multi part GW figure from many ranges with a Westwind bikers head and some other bits and bobs. The Wolf is from Ral Partha Europe.   This Mercenary is known as Ulaf who originally came from the south west coast of the Brittannia wastes. Ulaf was hired as a bodyguard for Sham. However Sham is constantly giving him the slip and Ulaf is forced to hunt him down. He always found it odd that Sham would be found meditating or doing something odd with the Wolf at his side (the wolf has no name - Sham says wild animals do not have names and so did not name him) guarding him. At first Ulaf thought it was rubbish but has seen too much weird stuff concerning Sham for him to not believe in Sham's abilities. Ulaf is a GW catchain with a warzone armoured plate thingy, a Metropolis pistol and a 1/35 carbine.  This here is Old Jake. Old Jake fought alongside Sham's father and always tries to look out for the man he thinks of as a son. Often he helps Ulaf search for the missing Sham. Other than that Old Jake guards the gate of the fortress. Figure - unknown. I am guessing it is some sort of Arctic explorer.  This is Monty. Monty is the fortress' merchant and finder. You want something you go and see Monty. He once found a superb scoped semi auto hunting rifle but thought it too unwieldy and so cut it back! Figure - unknown.  Charon was found by Sham in Northport. He had been with a trader convoy as a Merc coming from Scav Town to Brittannia. Charon's truck crashed in the Northport ruins and he contracted the Blight though a open wound. His convoy abandoned him. Charon wandered the ruins rotting slowly away thinking about putting his rifle barrel into his mouth. Then Sham found him and told him that the Blight was no longer infectious. Sham took Charon to the Fortress were he was cared for. Charon now serves as the main security boss for the fortress and finds his appearance handy for interrogating raiders and other scum. Charon is a GW plastic cadian with a Zombie head. This character is based on the one in Fallout 3 in Underworld. There are four more figures to come but the camera's batteries have died. I saw the first batch in your other thread but they're still cool. I love your GW plastic conversions, and using a zombie head to make a Fallout style ghoul seems like such an obvious thing to do, I'm kinda kicking myself for never having thoguth of it. I know they get a lot of stick for their big Arnie arms/physiques but the Catachans are probably the best plastic set for conversions. I just find them so versatile. |

Ta Xander, I thought you would know what they were!  Now for the remaining denizens of Vali's Fortress.....  This is Lou, she is a descendant of a SOS bunker's skeleton crew. When the old ones died and left her alone she set off into the world and drifted to the fortress. She is currently Kalik's lady. The mini is a ERM Corporate assassin.  Red Bob is one of Vali's trusted, despite the fact he comes from Analfield. Red Bob will happily fire on the Analfield wasters when he see's them. He is known for his mouthiness. Mini is a EM4 Scav.  Timbo drifted from the Eastern Coast of the Brittannia wastes. He settled in the fortress and is good friends with Red Bob. The pair are often out causing trouble in the wastes. Mini is from Golgo Island range.  Morri is the fortress' dirty girl and is happy in her career. She also likes to shoot men in the crotch area.... Mini is from the Golgo Island range.
