I kinda got out of Necromunda, and started playing All Things Zombie. I needed to create some modern-day terrain, but did NOT want to go through the "scratch-built" route. Then I stumbled across the Skankgame website, and it was like I found the Golden Ticket. That site showed what can be done with O-scale buildings, and I became totally hooked. So I scooped up a few buildings on eBay. You can get them fairly cheaply, especially if you look for ones that are damaged or missing pieces, and none of that matters much if you're trying to make a damaged, post-apocalyptic building. I haven't detailed the insides of these buildings like the ones in Skankgame's Zombie-town...maybe someday. I figure most of these will work when I start playing a more Mad-Max-style of PA campaign, as opposed to the contempary Zombie Apocalypse. So without further ado, let's take a short tour of my town. ![]() First stop is the local police station. The friendly officer out front would like to ask you a few questions, so why don't you step closer? The building is O-scale, the figure is Horrorclix, and the car is 1:43 scale. ![]() Next up is the Plasticville apartments. Damage deposit required. Sorry, no pets. ![]() Feeling sick? Then a trip to the hospital is in order...Uh-oh...this doesn't look good. A couple of Horrorclix zombies complain about their bill. ![]() So that's what caused the fire down below. But that hole doesn't look big enough for a helicopter to crash through...Don't care, there are no ladders to the roof so none of my 28mm survivors will ever see it. HA! Besides, I will be adding more smoke in the future to hide the hole. ![]() Back of the hospital. Nothing fancy here. And no, I don't think that car will start... ![]() A nice little fixer-upper... ![]() It's not much but I call it home. ![]() Good dog Carl! ![]() Part of the Neighborhood Watch. ![]() Z-Games was our local gaming store but sadly, it went out of business. It lives on in our games! ![]() Back side of same store. ![]() Close-up of some goodies on the roof. ![]() Hope you enjoyed the tour! Come back and see us anytime! Thanks! The mattresses come from Black Cat Bases. Black Cat Bases They have lot's of little things that can add a lot of character to any terrain. (Beat-up sofas, old mattresses, toilets(!), etc...) |

Fantastic! I was planning to run a zombie game for a convention this Halloween, but had to build a town for the scenario in mind. Are the O-scale buildings large enough for placing figures inside them? Asking because looting is part of the intended game. |

Cool work. All your pieces have a nice characterful look to them. I love the red glow in the hospital. You might also want to take a look at the combat zone chronicles, There are a few plasticville conversions on there too. Combat Zone Chronicles Terrain |

The Elvis figure comes from Hasslefree, I think they call him "Bubba". The gun-toting ladies are from Copplestone's Urban Cowgirls. I saw both Skankgame's Zombietown work and the Combat Zone Chronicles work before I made any terrain. They have REALLY colorful pieces with lots of character, and it prompted me to try my own hand at it. There's plenty of room to battle inside the buildings. Here's a couple of smaller pieces with the roofs removed and some 28mm figures inside. ![]()

Brian by all means feel free to post here! I don't mind where people post things, I just want to see it! Vampifan, it's from reading your batreps and seeing your terrain that Worldworks has gotten several orders from me. I've only made one paper terrain building so far, but I was both surprised and pleased at how sturdy it is. Actually seeing your ATZ batreps spurred me on to start making terrain again (and play more ATZ). I plan on making more of the Streets of Mayhem buildings to help flesh out the table. |

Confused Dad, I noticed the use of the WWG Streets of Mayhem ground tiles in some of your photos and I must admit that your buildings fit in so well with them. I can see that when it comes to making your scenery it is the little touches that helps bring it all to life. You're clearly a man after my own heart! |

Amazing, just as amazing as all your great Necromunda terrain. BTW, that Necro terrain need not go to waste. It fits perfectly into a post apoc setting. Especially if the setting is a mining/industrial area. Where I live, you can't go more than 2 miles without seeing a cluster of structures or rusted out equipment that looks like it came out of a Necromunda book. |
