I've had similar thoughts on that note Digitari - I also toyed with the idea of using some 'traditional' samurai as part of the group. Maybe have them as some sort of rebuilding 'foundationist' faction, who have started churning out newly made weapons and armour. (Maybe use some aquebus/teppo armed ashigaru as foot troops armed with these new weapons?)

I also thought about modeling them on the 'Iron Warriors' (Name might not be quite right- haven't read the books in a loooong time :s) from the Amtrak Wars books....

The Hatamoto Viper Wing looks better suited for a wastelands group rather than a vault group.

Agreed. The Vasa-version looks like a street bike while the Triad-version looks more like a dirt bike. As such, the Triad-version is better suited for the wastelands where there would be precious few maintained roads.

I was just thinking that a vault group would at least have a couple for the purpose of patrol/recon in the area around the vault entrance.

Of course, I probably have a different idea (or more likely, the wrong idea) of what a "vault group" is so....

Well my idea of a vault group is high tech facility stocked with the best gear money can't buy with little thought to what they will actually need...

Right, got some new brushes in and have a few more minis painted...

I got the last 3 security guys painted, the security cheif and the vault director painted, im also about half way through the hazmat guys... after these I have the lab tech and 10 minions to paint to complete the vault guys...

Without intending it to be my vaulkt force is the single largest faction in my PA world... its about 3 times larger than the other factions... crap...

Four pages and I hadn't seen any onf them yet.... still catching up.....

The guards (page 1) look great and the bikes look so too. I love the pinstripe on the bikes, so straight and smooth!! Look forward to seeing pics of these new ones.

Looking good Mal. I cant wait to see a batrep with these guys. :D

I tend to start a faction with 10-12 mini so there is reserve of faction members. Then the factions start to grow. Many of my bunker city factions run at 25+ minis.

10-12 is my usual size limit for factions... but the vault fellas have around 30ish so far... and more I still want to buy for them...

Heh probally not, i've already thought of a way to counter the large size with the smaller sizes of my other factions...

Im going to turn paradise falls from a slavers came into a merc outpost... a place where small merc teams hang out and other factions can send people to hire them...

I already have 2 merc teams, and enough other minis to man the town besides them... (without touching my other 2 factions), and im also going to use some of my older GW minis (the true 28mm ones) as 2 more factions...

So i'll have the vault faction, the bikers, ex-cops (aka nomad survivors), derranged sisterhood (sisters of battle), tech junkies (van sarr gangers used as tech addicted raiders), paradise falls settlers and 2 merc teams (with more merc teams to follow).

Nice stuff! That trenchcoat guy in blue on the left triggered a sudden urge to convert something into Cobra Commander MkI.
I'm not sure I should thank you. :z8P:

YAY! New Vaulties! I love them! That Vault director looks like a good fit to rule the wastelands. Why didn't you paint the Hazmat suits in blue, too? Don't get me wrong - they're beautiful in yellow! It's just they stand out very much.

As for the faction size, I can absolutely relate, man - I recently decided to enlarge my Vault forces, too - there's just too many nice miniatures and that blue color scheme is addictive!

I guess the Vault needs many armed dudes: It's filled with interesting loot (and unontaminated humans to eperiment on!) - so I could easily see the wasteland factions forming an uneasy alliance to overcome them!

The reason I painted the suits yellow isn't for any camo purposes or to fit in with the rest of the vault... My vault is basically remkoved from time, they are the remains of an 'evil corp' who grabbed as much tech as they could and crammed it into a fallout shelter before the end of the world... little thought was given to what they would actually need rather than all the shinies they could grab... The suits were either going to be yellow, orange, green or white... I rules out orange and green as they would end up looking too luminous for even my tastes so that left white and yellow... I was actually going to paint them white, but forgot when I started painting them and painted the firsdt one yellow without realising my mistake... after that I decided it looked cool (and was too lazy to strip and repaint it) I decided to paint them all yellow...

They definitely do look very cool in yellow - no argument there. I'll be ordering those lads myself soon (they are just too sexy to resist) and am unsure whether I will paint mine yellow or light blue.
I like the idea of a corporation having vaults - consider it stolen ;)
Even though my Vault system is a Project of the Texan state government, I think that good state is big enough for greedy corporate vaults as well!
