No doubt about it,a total rip off of Dannys tunnels here.I have been working on this since mid May and held off on posting pictures until now. This is 47 pieces done,3 rooms and 44 hallway sections.I plan on doing about 9 more rooms and a few more small dead ends. There is no detail painting on any of the pieces yet because doing all that small painting would slow progress down and i dont enjoy it much.

Need more rooms! The doors? Yep they open and close.

The doors are 2mm thick plastic construction shims cut to size and images of doors glued on both sides.
The pipe room.

The power generator room.

And the control room.Posted Image

So thats what i have so far and alot more planed. Thanks to everyone for the great ideas on Dannys Tunnel thread. But most of all thanks to Danny for the inspiration that got this project started...............thanks for the late nights, the hours spent in a basement on beautifull 90 degree daysand the sleepless nights thinking about tunnels!

YEA!THANKS ALOT! :wank:

P.S. I'll be watching Mal's tunnel project for more ideas to rip off. :(|thumbup:

Wow nice work man!!!

I wonder how much square footage all out tunnels combined cover by now?

My tunnels have one major point different from yours and Dannys... my tunnel sections are really thin.... gotta love budget cuts :p

Mr. Clean,

WOW, that is quite the tunnel system ya have there!!! Awesomes!

I agree with your observation, if you worry about the little details it slows down the progress. I'm also one of the detailed orientated folks. Therefore when I don't want to deal with details I can work on building and then turn my attention to the details. And with the tunnel systems you, Danny, and Mal are creating there will be tons of detail work to be had.

I just might be the closest wasterlander to ya, I'm in Indianapolis. We just might have to have a play date once my job situation gets back on track.

Mr. Clean, what did you use for the power generator? It looks really familiar, but I can't place it.

Tinker-Its to bad I didnt know you a few years ago.I worked in Indy for 6 months and had no one to play with. After 10 hour days workin' I would play solo Robo Rally,CR 2.0 or watch movies with my work partner. Now that I think about it he most likely would have played a game or two with me if I offered. But those 6 months sucked being away from my kids and a game or two could have helped. If you ever want a game let me know, all Wastelanders are welcome!Hope you guys like THW!

Digitarii-CRAP!I dont have any WIP pictures,so I hope I can explain this well.Posted Image

The bottom squareish part is a top of a broken coffee grinder. The round star, spikey things on the bottom are some unknown parts from a electronics board. The grate lookin' middle is a spool for yarn, twine or thread with the large ends cut off and smoothed out.And that round flat top is a 40mm (I think  ) GW base.Thats it!Hope that makes sense to anyone besides me.

I have a HUGE,I MEAN FRICKIN' HUGE AMOUNT OF BITS.I cant believe that not only do I remember what the bits are but also where each of them came from and how I got them.
I have many non-gamer minions who collect bits and crap for me,sometimes its actualy a little to much.

This whole project is being done with stuff I already have, nothing bought as I have been laid off of work for 6 months now. The small rock used for debris in the tunnels came from a job I did (Directional Drilling) last year and are cuttings from 120 feet under the ground.I still have a 5 gallon bucket full!COLLECT CRAP,NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY!NEVER!ok ,once in a while.

Fantastic work! :jaw:

I love the minimalist detail in the rooms. Thinking about it I didnt need to do to the trouble of painting my rooms in the half colour schemes.

I need to make more rooms and tunnels now........

Honestly, I thought it was a single piece off of something.
You're not the only one. After seeing it, I had to go have a look at my washing machine to see if:

a) it was the cap off the agitator

b) if the cap would come off my agitator so I could use it as a generator

I'm not to fond of lots of colors on my terrain,I like a sort of bland look.I may never paint the detail on these pieces,or I might I dont know.

To be honest with you mate, you don't really need to paint in any more detail... the weathering effects have picked out enough detail that it looks great.

If you start adding more detail, you run the risk of making it look overdone.
