I am looking to add some aliens to my post-apoc games and need some help. Ideally, I 'm hoping to find some big, thick critters along the size of a bison or rhino, maybe similar to the old GW Zoats. I want something too big to follow humans through a house without either wrecking it, or getting stuck. I'm not really looking for tall thin dudes or bugs. They don't need to be in uniform, but they need to use high tech weapons, blasters and zapatrons, not teeth and claws. I've made a similar post on TMP, and some nice figs have been suggested, but haven't found quite what I'm looking for yet. Does anyone know of a figure line that fits the description? Thanks, irishserb |

Welcome to the Wastelands! There will be a few of the folk to visit this thread to give ideas to ya in a short while. Though, you might want to be a little more descriptive of your alien of choice! Tinker |

For figures that size... hmm... you want them standing on two feet, or all fours? For two feet, I'm thinking look for fantasy minotaurs and then swap out the arms... for all fours, I'd look into either Warhammer fantasy Ork Boars, or maybe 40K daemons of some kind. (I like GW plastics, if you couldn't tell LOL) |

Hmmm. Not a simple request. You might want to check the following and see if any of them suit your needs: Koralon from Void 1.1/Urban War available from Scotia Grendel. The Therians from AT43 |

Koralons are nasty, so are Therians. You didn't like the AT-43 COGs I take it? Some of the Syntha models might work if you want to go robotic, hi-tech. |

I RECOMMEND THE AT-43 KARMAN (gorillas in space) miniatures. every last one of them is wearing powered armor and armed to the teeth with lots of shootiness, and even the rank and file are around in lots of poses and all have strong personalities . highly recommended. the power armored KARMANs tower over 28-mm COPPLESTONE, FOUNDRY, EM-4, WEST WIND, RAFM MODERN HEROS, REAPER, etc, even when they are in a typical gorilla stance. these are not the wimpy gorillas found in the PLANET OF THE APES movies! DAWGIE your average JOE KARMAN is larger than the UNA HEAVY POWERED ARMORS |

The Karman look like the closest thing to what I had in mind. Cogs might do also, but I'm leaning toward the thickness of the Karmen. I'm going to see if I can't chase some down over the weekend to see them in person. To be honest, I had completely overlooked AT 43, as I wasn't interested in the rules/fluff, when it came out. Many thanks for the help. irishserb |

No ideas about your request Irisherb. Welcome back, we have missed you. Did you go looking for baileys or Ross? The Karmen might also work for the Librarian mutants in the Metro2033 game (real bad, can take 2 AK74 clips at close range). Although they are little more than beasts in the game. I may have to check out lines of gorillas for these critters. |
