After my thread on my wasteland vehicles, I thought I'd share the people going along with them. No PA setting would be complete without the good ol' generic lunatics roaming the wastes, looking for other people to prey on! The Necromunda Goliaths suit fine for that role imho: ![]() ![]() Someone was slacking with educating this chap about manners! Also, there's the amazons - probably the militant leftovers of the feminist movement! ![]() Also we have a Vault Dweller (seriously...is there anybody here who didn't feel the urge to make one?) ![]() ![]() Unfortunately, the Vault number is concealed by the backpack - it's Vault 69. After reading about the Vault experiment in that vault in the Fallout lore (999 women, one man), I kept feeling sorry for the guy - as we all know, the menstrual cycle of women living together tends to synchronize. Who wouldn't run?! Unfortunately the other pictures turned out way to dark, so you'll have to wait until it get's sunnier here ![]() Edited by Carrakon, Oct 1 2017, 05:04 PM.

Nice ideas and a good starting point. Nice minis too. I think Necromunda gangs lend themselves nicely to a PA feel. I think most of us have a version of the Vault Dweller.

Thanks for the kind comments. As for basing, I don't know yet - I will do the basing, once we did the terrain, so I can match the two. Nothing destroys the impression on the gaming table as much as badly matched bases, imho. |

I agree with ya, Carrakon, but I don't see how without becoming too anal you'll be able to do that!

Nicely painted minis. The two gangs I ran when I played Necromunda were Goliaths and Eschers. You have good taste, sir! Oh, and welcome aboard! |

Base wise I go for brown with broken rocks. It fits urban, ruins and wastelands nicely. Plus it doesnt look out of place on GW-battle in your local park type table either. |

It'll probably be something along those lines. Though my severe hatred of basing means I'll first finish the painting on everyone ![]() Speaking of which... Wow, I really like all your converted wastelanders. The guy on and off the horse is so cool, and the pack horses are a great idea. What mini (or parts) is the gunslinger in picture 4? |

Wow - I love all of them. What helmets did you use for the cops in the first picture? That gunslinger is ace and I love the gas mask on the horse. Where did you pick up the horse models? What figures did you use for the Lone Rider? |

Those forgeworld titan crew hazmats heads could so easily be chopped off and converted then recast for t-51b armor! |

@Lost Wanderer:
The pistols are old GW Bolt Pistols, the head is from some Confrontation dude I found in my pile o' stuff (I think the Faction is called 'Dirz' or something like that) and the body is from a promo miniature a German wargaming forum sold ages ago. @mattblackgod
The cop helmet without visor is a cut down GW tanker head, The one with full visor is from hasslefree (they sell them separately) The horse models are GW Warhammer Fantasy - I don't know which ones exactly - probably used for hauling cannons or something like that. The lone Rider - like everything you see here is a product of my recycling efforts, since I don't play Warhammer anymore ![]() The head is a sawn-off Steel legion head with the helmet removed and replaced with the hat from a WHF empire militia guy. The body with the coat is from the empire militia sprue as well - I held it over a candle so the side parts are closer to the legs. Legs are plastic Cadian legs. The rifle is a converted Lasgun carbine from the Imperial Guard vehicle accessory sprue, scope comes from the same source. The backpack is from an old Warzone plastic mini (I think the faction's called Bauhaus - basically sci-fi Germans). For the mounted version, the same applies, obviously - just the legs come from an empire rider. The horse's gas mask is made from green stuff. @Ironblood: must....resist...temptation... Wide variety of kit and clothes, and a true Wasteland feel. The Lone Rider is Aces! The horse puts me in mind of my favorite aspect of "The Postman", riders instead of drivers. |
