Last night I watched that old classic Gremlins. When I had finished laughing I wondered what if the kids of Kingston Falls had failed in stopping a single gremlin? All you need is water and it took a pool and one gremlin to make thousands. What if a gremlin makes it to the ocean? How fast would the world be over run by the manic green tide? Imagine the chaos on a global scale. Once they became wide spread they would be impossible to stop. Every time humanity thought they had them licked a new horde would appear and the cycle would start all over again. Imagine what might happen if they got into a nuclear bunker or reactor? Survivors would be forced to hunker down during the hours of darkness and wait it out killing any of the little monsters that got close to them. During daylight hours they would be forced to go out scavenging for supplies or trying to hook up with other survivors always being wary of spots out of the sun light for you dont know what might be lurking there. Then there would be the lawless elements and other factions that crawl out of the wood work when they can do pretty much as they please. What do you think for a PA setting? Its a bit different and more of a challenge than Zeds as gremlins can use vehicles and weapons. If nothing else its a great idea for a MULP game. Try any Zombie rules and insert the malicious weapon wielding mayhem creators that are gremlins instead. What about minis? For such a game you would need a ratio of 10 to 20 germlins per human. Given they are small I was wondering about some 15mm big eared goblins. Anyone know who makes them? I suppose GW Snotlings might work if painted right. |

Lol, good luck finding a manufacturer who produces gremlins in 28mm!! Funny idea though, its actually a little like the Omega Man/I Am Legend, but much much funnier!! I wonder if we could talk WB into doing a Post Apoc Gremlin movie! |

That would be awesome! Imagine the chaos of your road scum and road warriors battling it out when a little green head pops up in a truck! Not to mention comdey deaths and the sick humour of gremlins. I can see survivors trying to get a lot of high power flood lamps to drive the little monsters back. It would be an entertaining spin on the genre and a possible good way to introduce newbies into the genre. Forget 40K - our greenskins breed in water! Has anyone else got the Gremlins theme tune going through their head now? |

I think that Wyrd miniatures has some Gremlins but they are expensive. And you would need lots to do this right. Brian |

There is some ideas. Wyrd is too expensive. Nice and rather styled. GW gobbos/gretchin have huge noses with gremlins dont have. Same for snotlings too. A gremlin is about a one to two feet in height so I am thinking 10 or 15mm goblins of some sort. That sorts out quantity too. Anyone make 15mm in plastics? |

Don't know about 15mm plastics; but I just had a glance over @ Irregular miniautres and their 15mm gobbos are 25p each which makes it a bit more do-able. I'm not sure how much 10mm 'warmaster' (or even 'not-warmaster') stuff goes for on evilbay, but it might be worth a look. The only catch with that is that most of them are based on strips and may/may-not be easy to seperate out. |

Pendraken do 10mm single based Orcs and Goblins in packs of 10 for about a £1. These are at the top end height wise of 10mm mins. Copplestone does some 10 mm Orcs with tufty hair and large ears. However, these are strip based and expensive. |
