Rat king Posts: 683 Group: Members Member #66 Joined: Feb 10, 2009	I'm trying to find a mini I can convert to be The Duke of New York as he appeared in "Escape from New York". I've asked around a couple of places and haven't really found what I'm looking for. My skills are limited, so it needs a few things I can't convert. It should have: -open jacket with sleaves -trousers tucked into boots -hands away from body -easy to remove head -epaulettes and tails would be a plus, but I "think" I can GS these. Some minis I've considered, but was hoping for a better pose, less cutting, or something. Heresy Bane Kallistra mini Copplestone scavenger Left and right minis Left mini Center mini Nappy command mini swishy gent Another Nappy I've combed through Hasslefree, Heresy, Copplestone, EM4, Artizan, and probably others. Right now Bane is the top contender, though the Kallistra mini is a close second. Any period will be considered. Any ideas? Edited by consectari, Mar 23 2010, 06:58 PM.

Open jacket with sleeves, and hands away from body. Big boss warlord dude! Posts: 15,699 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jul 22, 2008	The Kallistra SF1 mini looks very similar. He has the epaulettes and pants tucked into boots (although he my have gaiters on too!). Just shave off the mohawk. I can get better pictures of my mini if you need one.

Mutant Slayer Posts: 1,612 Group: Members Member #87 Joined: Jun 17, 2009	THERE is an old original COPPLESTONE FUTURE WARS (EM-4 or that EYETIE company nowdays) wearing a coat with epaulettes, dredlocks, and i think, boots, toting a big pistol with a telescopic sight on it, call ROBOT HUNTER that might work. there are also several RALPARTHA SHADOWRUNNERS 25mm minis that might also work with a bit of minor converting. Only thing about the mohawk guy is, I'm concerned I can't make respectable sleeves. I've really only successfully sculpted some basic gas masks. I tried some hair, but it turned out to be utter $#!+. Dawgie, I think you're talking about EM4's 0074 SMG. Rasta. I'm hoping to get just a little closer to how the Duke looked in the movie. You know, A number 1. Edit: How about this. Take Kallistra SF9. Put his main fire arm in his left hand, change heads and make the head face basically forward, and put something else in his outstretched arm. Maybe a walking stick or a bat with spikes in it. Will that look silly? BTW, one of my favorites in that Kallistra set is SF6, every time I look at it I think "This time, they f**d with the wrong Mexican" Edited by consectari**, Mar 27 2010, 04:00 AM.

I plan to get more as they are handy for various wasteland gangs and clans. I was going to take SF1 and make a new skin for the skin head faction. They need more guys with decent weapons as they constantly get their buts kicked!
