I'm experimenting with toy cars. The idea is to make the interior look burned out, by adding chinchilla sand to paint and painting it on. I hope to show more tomorrorw.

Excellent shanties! Chinchilla sand? I thought they were only a source for fur... but sand too? Remarkable little critters.

Apparently the creatures use a special kind of fine grained sand to bathe instead of water.

I find it to be very well suited for wargaming purposes as the quality is very consistent.. and as said fine grained.

Me neither!

I'm currently having a bit of trouble finding a spare moment to get outside and spray them. But as soon as I get that done, I'll paint them instantly.

Changing the structure of the polymer by powerful oxidation would result in health hazard and a complete lack of control as to the outcome. :D

Not around here, they use prison cells for that! :D . I think it may be some sort of offering to the great shell suit demon.

OK there's paint on it now... but I think I failed massively. I don't know if I dare show it.

What is wrong with it? It looks pretty good to me. :pipboy: Some dark brown and orange washes might help the corrugated bits look more rusty and dirty.

Well. Before painting it I thought it would look like a million when painted.

Now that I painted it, I only think it looks like half a million.

I think it's a question of before and after... I imagined something else. Didn't achieve it.

You're being too harsh. It looks great! Like Danny said, some dirt is probably all it needs...

Well Thor you are very critical of your own work, it looks most excellent. Is there sufficient room to move the miniatures around without any problems?

I agree with the above comments, its a great first rate paint job, its just a little too clean for the PA setting I think your aiming for.

Muddy it up a bit, dull down those bright colours and try not to be too harsh on yourself... after all we are each our own worst critic.
