After seeing Veloci's and Vampifan's excellent Worldwerks terrain, i went and splurged a bit on a few helpful sets. I converted the pages i liked to JPEGS and changed them around a bit and printed them out to the sizes i needed. It's something i tried before with my Vault Terrain, and i've been collecting textures that i've found for a while.

I found the Worldworks stuff to be really helpful, and they had a consistancy that i was after for this project. The building has turned out better than what i think i could have modelled myself, and it was very quick to finish off.

I wasn't too sure about the mix between printed an painted terrain, but i've found it to be ok. Any C & C welcome.

That looks wonderful!I have been thinking of getting some of the World Works stuff for a while now for a Excape from New York project.Is messing with the sizes and stuff hard? I am very bad with computer things.

I had to downscale this stuff to fit 15mm terrain which would have been easy if i just made the buildings i need, but i was just pasting this stuff onto and existing project. If you are using 25/28mm models you could go just use their stuff as is. Make sure you take a look at Vampifans blog to get an idea of what you can do with World Works stuff.

To make a good table i would suggest these files from World Works;

Shellendrak Manor, plus the add on
Mayhem City Armoury
Bits of Mayhem
Streets of mayhem

These things would make a great town. I went and bought some other scifi stuff to make some vault tunnels for 15mm, but what i mentioned should do fine for an Escape from New York table. And it would be done very quickly, quicker than my efforts because i made the printouts fit in with an existing project.

Ruins and burnt out buildings can be made by...burning the cardstock building or by using Vampifans technique of black ink, which i used in the recesses adn corners.

Also, there are tutorial videos that can help you at the World Works site that i recomend.

Thanks for the plug, CC! I like what you've done in reducing the WWG stuff to 15mm. It's come out really well. You're spot on about the basic sets to recommend. Of course once you start, you'll want to add more and more. Pretty soon you'll be addicted to scenery making. Still, it's a darn sight healthier than a lot of addictions I could mention!

Really nice work - it looks amazingly playable, I love the detail too. The print-out terrain is so tempting, and you've taken it to another level here - fantastic!

That's a great idea, I'm going to have to try that for my bunkers. Do you need to use a varnish to protect the paper once it's on or is it ok? Had a skim through that textures site and it's given me tons of ideas thanks for the link.

It could be a good idea to use varnish on the paper. Especially if your prone to sink a few bevvies while you play.

Finished one more building. This one is residential. I have two more ruins to go, which won't take too long and the warehouse. I think i may need one more piece to finish the board off. Perhaps a Service Station or another residence.
