So... not sure where to put this (could go in news, could go in my BOC thread, etc), but as it's all tied up with slae... so I'll plop it here for now...

So, I'm back in from Reveille II: LAst Post at Lincombe Barn (North Bristol) where I had a stall selling off some stuff. Trade wa sgood, starting almost immediately after we'd set up (before the show opened) and ran solidly through until pack-up time at 1530. Funds riased were excellent, and we must have had one of the better takings of the traders.

Although some demo games were run, I did't have chance to do anything too involved with them as I was kept pretty busy with the stall. (A special shout-out to the great guys from the Mid-somerset wargames for a nice looking Aliens game, between buying a large percentage of my stuff, and always stopping for a bit of a banter as they maendered around. Nice one guys!) It was also good to meet back up with some buddies.

I picked up a fair few books at really low prices, all based on Modern/special ops topics, and a pile of lead. As Ollie (AKA KFC) & Danny will know from my constant prattling over the last month, one of the stockists had managed to get his hands on some Pre-release Brittania-Inkermann Malayan warfigures (see below.) Very nice figures, with lots of sciope. Being sat next to 'The Scene' and their splendid jungle terrain I almost succumed to using them for their intended period there and then. However, I'm going to be stong and keep for Mau-Mau style actions for now, and I may diverge out to Malaya after I finish Africa, but before I either Return to Darkest Africa or catch a Huey to Vietnam.... (Ruleswise, I'm thinking a modded vietnam set - lots of tense jungle games with limited fields of fire and ambushes...)

Anyway - enough wittering you say, lets see the lead!

Sooo here's the Brittania-Inkermann stuff first. Figures are shown in the packs they came in, and if folks want more pics of anything, just shout. 2 figure packs were £2.40 & 3 fihure packs £3.60 (£1.20 a figure - a pretty good price IMO)

Riflemen (SMLE Jungle carbine) - I got 2 packs...

Native (Iban) trackers

And my only other miniature purchase... a reduced TAG MVD team in Ski-Masks. I thought these guys might make a good Police unit for one of the african forces. Either the "elite" of the Mafrobian police, or possibly as Tangan police...

Hey. I really like the guys in ski masks. Great pose on the bottom right guy.

Shame i didn't get into the wargaming community more while i was in Dorset, think i would have loved it. I did paint some Pikemen for my Uncle who was a Civil war recreationist. Otherwise too busy sight seeing the stuff you guys live in every day. :P I try not wonder in hindsight what i would have bought from Peter Pig while i lived in Weymouth.

Love that Inkerman stuff VLD. Can't decide if I like the Communists more or the British. Might have to add those to my "must have" list.

I just got a small batch of minis from Victory Force. They had a 1 day only 50% off sale after Thanksgiving.

I, like others before me could not resist the call of Aryanreich(thanks MBG), so I ordered some WWII Germans. I also found some interesting minis that will make good characters.
The Gyro captain:

A generally rough looking character:

Seems lots of WWII minis have serious PA potential.

Edit:
Forgot to mention, for anyone wondering why "the gyro captain" has no hands. VFM has some minis with the "Choose Hand Feature". You pick which hands you want to come with the mini. The also sell the hands seperately. Many of the guns are held in non firing positions, but there are lots of other good options. Mines, satchel charges, gas cans, and molotov cocktails. I bought way more molotovs than I'll likely ever use, but figured I could make some bar patrons by cutting off the wick.

consectari - those are some nice toys you just picked up! The BI Malayan figures are really nice - no matter which ones you pick up. If you've got mates with WW2 British in the far east, then I'd say to go for CT's. If you haven't (like me!) I'd either get a patrol of each, or the British as they are more versatile (They can also do service in Late WW2 Burma, Mau-Mau uprising in Kenya, And some could work for Borneo in the 60's...)

Recieved a package from Khurasian miniatures today. It took only a week to arrive in Australia which i think is pretty quick.

Khurasian had some interesting things to offer in 15mm and it was hard to make my choices. I was certain about the Pulp characters. But i looked over the various antropomorphs for quite a while, the Felids being my favorite. I remember looking for these kind of guys in 28's. But i chose something strange for DC 2150's mutants.

The three snake looking creatures behind the humans are called Cnidarian from Khurasian's Pelagiac range that has the sharkmen. The Cnidarians have tentacle's around there head which they grasp strange looking guns with. It's hard to see in the picture, but painting will bring it out. I was missing a left arm on one of them though so i sent off an email. I'll be using the guy with the monicle on the left with the Aryan Riech. The humans scale up the same as GZG's new castings and i think the Cnidarians could be used with 28's.

Really liked the zombies on offer, so i got some of those.

And these strange Nid/Bugs which i'll use as some wasteland predators. My other choice would have been Giant ants. But they had less poses than these guys.

The bugs are called Parasachnid Dawgie, from the Pelagic Dominate range. Remember they are for 15mm, but i think they'd go well 28's coming up to about the waist. If you want a scale pic i can whip one up.
