Big Cool Robot update: It's about 6" tall. Cool on top of the gun cabinet, but too huge for the 28mm table top. Ah well...

Back to the STALKER project this weekend, and maybe some MERCS FCC.

Just scored a cheap BTR-60PB on ebay. After some exposure on LAF & TMP, I've been bitten by the Neo Sov bug. I've got the minis, just needed some vehicles to go with them. I would like to add some LAM or Copplestone minis later, though.

I'm going to try to scratch a katyusha out of a cheap plastic(toy soldier) WWII truck.

I won ten dollars on a scratch off (lotto ticket) which I have squirreled away in my wallet. I've be too sick to think about any additions to my pile of junk. But now that I'm feeling better I might just run over to the local game store to dig though the big box of bits to see what tasty treasures some poor sot through out :)

It would have been nice to have a little BDRMshka, but I was going for cheap. Price + shipping came in under $11.00 (though it is a poorly detailed old diecast).

Probably turned out for the best, though. The transport capacity on the BTR 60 means I can haul the whole scouting/scavenging party.

My first "real" vehicle, a 15mm Merka-5 tank from Rebel Minis, has arrived! While I won't use it for PA gaming, it will have a prominent role in my Mars Project: blowing up Greys and their Saucers!

Doc Falken, I am glad to see people supporting Mega Minis, especially since they are located in the same state as me, Michigan, and are only a couple hours drive away. I need to get my order for some of their minis together when I get the cash. One of the main figures I want is the Salvage Crew Gang Member with Chainsaw, and of course I also want their Modern Zombies and Modern Civilian sets.

Here they are:Megamins are true Scale 28mm,other Ranges like the Shockforce Cowboys are much larger (32mm),the 25mm old Fantasy (Metal Magic) Range is too small for 28mm

Some cool pics there Doc, thanks! Think I'll order some zombies from there next, I've been wanting to pick up various aliens from them for AE Bounty!

My latest minis...

Bunch of zombie hunters - not-Shaun (Shaun of the Dead), not-Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz), not-Marv (Sin City) and a generic tooled-up female hunter from Hasslefree, and a not-Alice/Saint Milla (Resident Evil 2 style!) from Studio Miniatures.

Posted Image

One of the Studio Miniatures zombie packs to add to my horde (this takes me up to 32 zombies, with some Horrorclix ones on the way from Lost Wanderer and various junk miniatures going to be getting the zombie treatment - I bitz-ordered some of the Mantic zombie heads from eBay just for these!).

Posted Image

A canine alien with a plasma cannon and zippo lighter... Just how brilliant can one miniature really be?!

Posted Image

Some Fenris Games base toppers - these are roughly 30mm wide, mounted them on washers and added more sand around the edges - they'll be entrance points for some of the zombie games I have in mind! Or possibly escape points? I've played Left 4 Dead a hell of a lot :)

Obviously I have some zombie games planned when I move into my new place, plus I couldn't resist the alien pug for AE Bounty!!
