Raider Posts: 430 Group: Members Member #113 Joined: Oct 13, 2009	Hey Gang. I had this first base completed a little while ago, but never had good pictures of it. So now I do have good pictures of it, and can post a preview all Official like. This is a single base of Minor M.U.R.G. Strain Extreme Mutations. I intend to do another base or perhaps even 2 more, to make a good looking large swarm. These horrid little Murg Strain Mutants are often found in a dreadful mass where ever Murg Men have infested in numbers. These are tiny becuase they are spawned from minor Animals. They want to eat you alive. I like Swarms. Nothing is more evil or funny than to have Mr. Heavy Weapons Glear down at his units as they are tied up in HtoH by bases of Little Monsters..."Oh No...now you will have to use actuale tactics to fight my well balanced force...Oops." If you wanted to scale them up and have the same effect, it might look good to just base some of my larger Murgies for the bigger figures. I am doing some M.U.R.G. Hounds and Proto Matter (Worm Blob Thingies) that could make up a larger scale version of a Murgies Swarm me thinks. Just pop them on a 28mm plastic base say, or a GW larger 40mm base, and your in business. LAF

This way I can sort of bounce from 1 to another, so I seem to be doing something new rather than slugging it out with the same models everyday. Keep it fun. LAF

Mercenary Posts: 1,140 Group: Members Member #72 Joined: Mar 5, 2009	I tried that approach with my painting, didn't last too long. I find that you need to work on the same type of miniatures at once, otherwise you miss details. I understand how it would be different for sculpting though.

Raider Posts: 430 Group: Members Member #113 Joined: Oct 13, 2009	Yup. With painting you may often need to keep going to use up a nice mixed color for a detaile. With sculpting I mix a good bit and toss it into the freezer and nip off bits for a 30 minute setting. LAF
