OK, it's a bit late for Halloween but any time of year's good for monsters, right?

Zombies- Braaaaiiiiiiiinssssssssss... In Nu London, they were originally the result of a scientific experiment gone wrong and never dealt with properly. Zombie outbreaks still occur now and again, each new victim adding to the horde's ranks, and there's even rumours of certain individuals who have found ways to control zombies for their own agenda.

Copplestone Future Wars zombies, along with Hasslefree zombified heroes and a Spyglass zed. Some of the horde I'd built up for modern horror and ideal for PA.

Lurkers- Usually found in only the darkest and most out of the way tunnels and ruins, lurkers use razor sharp teeth and claws to rip their prey to shreds, and have frightening speed and climbing abilities. Though they have no eyes, their other senses are heightened far beyond mere humans.

Heresy monsters that remind me of the Lickers in Resident Evil. Those two gang members are in big trouble.

I do love to play in games with zombies!

in my games ordinary zombies come in two distinct flavors:

a. STAGE ONE are recenlty turned to several weeks old, stupid, slow moving, spastic, cause FEAR, always hungry for brains, never need to rest, feel no pain, are FEROCIOUS in CQC, cannot use any ranged weapon or melee weapon or technology, are still in the gushy, discolored and smelly stages.

b. STAGE TWO are long time deaders, very stupid, mummified, walking skeletons, move very slowly, cause FEAR, always hungry for brains, feel no pain, are FEROCIOUS in CQC, cannot use any ranged weapons or melee weapons or any technology. incredibly ugly to look at but they do not smell as bad as the STAGE ONE zombies.

also note that STAGE ONE and STAGE TWO zombies are attracted by motion, sounds, and that they are also able to "sense" or detect the scent of living humans, even when they have no eyes to see with. and also note that STAGE ONE and STAGE TWO zombies will nearly always halt in place to eat their victims.

and then there are necromorphs, necromutants, and centurions, that is, zombies created by using "science and dark technology" to serve as armed soldiers in the service of their masters. all of these zombies are in the gushy form, smelly, have discolored skin, going bald, with burning red eyes. they can be newly "turned", scavenged from the battlefield dead, or many, many years old. they move faster than normal folks, are stronger than normal folks, are semi intelligent to intelligent to very intelligent, hate the living, cause FEAR, feel no pain, are FEROCIOUS in CQC, do not stop to dine on their victims, are able to use any CQC weapon (but almost always use the blade attached to their rifles instead), are able to use ranged weaponry (but not as well as they living do), and are able to use limited technology (butt not as well as they living do), and appear to be able to "sense" or smell the scent of living humans even when they are blind.

NECROMORPHS . semi intelligent. can/will follow orders but have little or no self initiative of their own other than killing the living. they are the rank and file cannon fodder. necromorphs are always led by necromutants or centurions. necromorphs without a leader tend to stand around looking lost, but, might move in the direction of any noise or movement, and will move directly toward the closest living humans that they can see, smell or sense.

NECROMUTANTS.intelligent. act as NCO types for the rank/file NECROMORPHS, as well as forming higher quality units of soldiers led by centurions. leaderless necromutants will always attempt to carry out their assigned task(s). if and when said task(s) are accomplished, necromutants will move toward closest living enemy they can seem smell or sense, or failing that, toward the sounds of the guns.

CENTURIONS. very intelligent. centurions can form squads of undead soldiers equal to any living human special operations soldier or act as leaders for units of necromutants or necromorphs. necro- morphs and necromutants led by centurions are extremely dangerous.

the above guidelines allow me to use all of my zombie plague zombies, as well as my DARK TECH driven WARZONE undead soldiers.

I THINK I LOVE YEA!
THAT is very much how I see The Undead.
It all started for me as a kid, after seeing The Return Of The Living Dead.
I grew up on GAR's Night,Dawn,Day films...but arfter TROTLD...they seemed boring.
You NEED smart, fast, well equiped and armed Undead to make an Army From Hell.
Good post Bro.

Some nice minis there. I like the Lurkers and always wondered what sort of size they where. Cheers. I might invest in some as they are the right for Snorks in Stalker.

As I recall Dawige wondered what a Snork was in another thread....look at this.

I have ran into remote control undead in fiction before, either through Necromancy or a mix of nano tech, bio chips and implants. I hope to introduce some into my Wastelands. I have some Zeds, so maybe I might up date them with techy bits.

That Snork looks freaky, I'd love to see that in mini form. When it comes to videogames I'm a beat em up man first, but from what I've seen here I really must give Stalker a go.

Cheers for the Warzone reminder Dawgie. That was the first non GW game I discovered, but I was a bit late for the party with that one and Warzone died soon after. On the plus side, that did mean dirt cheap minis so not all bad.

haha whenever you guys were talking about snorks in another thread I kept imagining those old cartoons.
The sun went down and the ground started sort of grinding.
A blinding light tore across the sky.
A cyclone swept the landscape and left it completely flattened out.
And several twirls of smoke unfolded like gigantic flowers.

The way the morning broke was quite unusual.

"... that thought is just tooo horrendous to contemplate", but actually extremely funny!

Maybe we can convince ol' Danny to integrate the TELE TUBBIES into the "Cult of the Purple Helmet"?
My hands are blistered from trying to get a grip on reality!
