DAWGIE is indeed an ancient wastelander, having lived to the ripe old age of 63!

he has 35 years of 25-mm/28-mm war gaming, modeling, and converting behind him, everything from dinosaurs to starships and starship troopers . . .

at my very best i came close to the level of skill routinely demonstrated here, but, as arthritus and etc have kicked in, i cannot hold a candle to what y'all do.

i had a number of excellent teachers in painting and converting skills, all from the DFW METROPLEX area in TX. ditto when it came to thinking about out of the box gaming scenarios, rules, and etc.

DAWGIE, certified aulde farte . . .

It's nice to be around people my own age.

I'm 36, but most mornings I feel 63. ;)

My hands are blistered from trying to get a grip on reality!

new kids on the block
PA boybands?
The sun went down and the ground started sort of grinding.
A blinding light tore across the sky.
A cyclone swept the landscape and left it completely flattened out.
And several twirls of smoke unfolded like gigantic flowers.

The way the morning broke was quite unusual.

Meh I am 18 and started with 2nd ed smurfs.. I still (vaguely) remember getting the codex from the GW shop. Oh and on my birthday getting a Rhino and a Techpriest from the GW shop in Carlisle.. And getting some plastic cement from a nearby modelling shop..
That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange æons even death may die

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
Then you don't understand the severity of the situation!

You know you are getting old when you start to see your miniatures going OOP, or unsupported by the ruleset.
(so about 6 months with GW ;))
The Truth is out there... Way out there.

"post apocalyptic boy bands?"

this is as frightening a thought as PA teletubbies questing for the ORDER OF THE PURPLE HELMET!

TINK, how do y'all manage to fit into those tight boy band outfits, and what do you use for excess head hair?

(cringing inwardly) and what instrument do you play or are y'all a vocalist?

DAWGIE, going trans dimensional as he reforms his bod into a MICK JAGGER, BILLY IDOL, DAVID BOWIE, STING look . . .

World of Red-Sector
Quote from Red Sector Commander: "Safety? Safety? Is gun! Meant to kill! No warrior should know he has safety on gun, because he should be killing enemies of homeland! Safety make loud click to aid enemy in locating warriors! No safety!" while pounding his fist on the table (after asked by a rookie guard who asked where the safety on his Assault rifle is)

You know dawgie, now that you mention billy idol, I think some of the looks he wore in a couple of his videos would make good minis, and a few of his music videos have some post apoc and dystopian feel to them.

To answer the question easy... I use their blood as lubricant and their scalps as my hair piece... the only instrument I play is the old chainsaw

I just finished watching a PBS program, Secrets of the Dead : "The Airmen and the Headhunters" The story of a WWII U.S. bomber crew that, after its plane was downed over Borneo by Japanese antiaircraft fire, was taken in by the infamous Daka tribesmen. And with a couple episodes of Criminal Minds back to back can explain my "bloodlust"?

Hey Ross! We need a smiley with a chainsaw!
