OhlookwehaveaHarvest Festival. Rules: Skank Location: Hamsterdam, Mattblack world. Objectives: K2I – to take the town and loot it. Hamsterdam – to drive off the raiders. It had been a good year for the farms and towns of the Middle Wastelands. The mutants and raiders had been at a all time low. What basic crops had grown well and the Dungers had increased in number. For many of them it was going to be an easy winter. Or at least an easier winter. Like Hamsterdam many of the towns had set up a “Ohlook wehavea harvest festival” to celebrate the fact they actually had a harvest. Many people had travelled for days from the remote farms to enjoy the party.  The town of Hamsterdam. In addition to the farmers a large truck arrived. The Children of Goodness came to offer thanks to their God and Saints for blessing the Wastelands. No doubt they hoped to get a few converts too.  Sheriff Skipol the lawman and mayor of Hamsterdam watched the Culties carefully. They might be all clappy and happy, passing out their narcotic sweets to the towns folks and farmers now but Skipol’s Poppa told him they where once a doomsday cult killing anyone who didn’t join them. They didn’t fool Skipol for a minute. Staying with Skipol was his old friend, wasteland explorer, scientist and teller of tall tales Gordo Looseman (guy in the orange homemade armoured Hazmat suit). He had told Skipol of the farms and towns he had seen to the West that has been attacked by raiders and bunker cities alike eager to grab some food. To add to Skipol’s worries a bunch of Stunties had come through a few days ago saying the to the East the Aryans where attacking everything that wasn’t “Aryan”. They also destroyed farms and towns for food and other commodities. Skipol tutted to himself. A raider is a raider regardless of were they where from.  Dribbler was doing a roaring trade with lots of folks buying his “meat” pies as snacks. Katrina was sighting her new pistol. From this angle it looked to Skipol as if she was going to shoot Dribbler. Skipol wished she would for Dribbler’s pies were truly awful.  Lise the hunter had rounded up the Dungers and hoped to sell some on. It could be a profitable day for the town.  The Culties performed some ritual with their “Bishop” yelling merry hell and damnation to all that listened. The farmers and townsfolks gathered to watch this bit of street theatre. Still at least the sweets where gooooood!  Suddenly a bunch of warriors arrived outside the town. They bore the ensignia of the Kraptoidiots Corporation. Skipol spotted them and doubted that they were here to trade or party.  To the town’s east the K2I officer and more meatheads arrived.  Whilst to the north more K2i meatheads arrived.  Upon seeing trouble rolling into town various townsfolks and farmers armed up. They deployed to deal with the threat.  The K2I meatheads roared forward in a truck hoping to cause some chaos in the defenders. Meanwhile the guys on foot followed hoping to get a foot hold in the wake of the truck.  The Northern group advanced.  The Eastern group advanced whilst the K2I officer and medic hang at the back (the officer is the skinny guy at the back, he isn’t an addict to K2I drugs and is more intelligent that the meathead goons).  The COG cultists seeing the threat deploy to assist the town repel the raiders  Fire from the townsolks by the parked truck takes out three meatheads in the truck.  The Eastern group also take some fire with two meatheads dropping.  Meathead fire from the truck wounds the wastelander trying to get to the Harpoon gun on the parked truck. Bad news as it’s the only weapon Hamsterdam has to take out the K2I truck.  Cultist fire takes down two more raiders.  Meanwhile at the Northern barricades the Meatheads drop Fat Wallet the trader.  The Truck thunders on and the meathead in the back tries to decide if it would be more fun to shoot the kid or the chick in the hat. Not that it matters as he misses anyway.  The Southern footsloggers arrive on the edge of town spraying bullets in all directions.  Whilst the Northern group hide in the bushes laying down suppressive fire two brave meatheads rush forwards hoping to flank the barricades and do some damage.  Some Culties arrive to reinforce the Northern barricades.  The Eastern group enter town hoping to get close an personal to the defenders. The officer leaps at a townie hoping to beat him to a pulp with his iron shot baton. The townie dodges and swings the butt of his shotgun at his attacker but the officer sidesteps.  The Southern meatheads attack the defenders of the truck. Lise took a bullet and a farmer thumps a meathead. The meathead shrugs it off and the two scuffle (behind the truck). Skipol fires his shotgun and drops two meatheads. Gordo’s SMG finishes the other two.  However in the exchange a lucky K2I bullet hits Skipol. Like a true hero he shrugs it off and continues the fight.  Katrina’s new pistol barks and the meathead falls from the truck wounded.  The Northern group lets rip decimating the defenders of the barricades.  However the Northern group took casualties from the defenders.  The officer and townie continute to fight. A meathead drops a cultie. Another meathead shoots a cultie as he dies he raises his rifle and blows the meatheads head open.  The Southern group manages not to bottle it and the guy at the front overpowers the farmer hacking him to bits.  The truck swerves and runs over the Bishop. “Roadkill!” the driver yells elated then notices the hut approaching really quickly.  One brave meathead takes a bullet but his comrade rushes the defenders. A cultie stands up to him. Meanwhile the rest of the Northern group rush the barricades.  Half the Southern group rush into town not noticing that Skipol and Gordo have engaged two of their group in melee.  Teresa Green and the pitfighter accost a meathead. Teresa grips him as the pitfighter cleaves his head in two.  The Sheriff and Gordo make short work of their meatheads.  Katrina plugs another meathead. However another meathead shows the young lady his chopper hoping to stick in her. Young Tommy gawps in shock.  At the Northen Barricades the Cultie wrestles the attacking meathead. Fire from the rushing meatheads kills another two defenders.  Kahhhboooommm! The truck crashes into the hut and explodes killing the driver.  A cultie rushes out to meat the charging meatheads and attacks one. Meanwhile one meathead makes it over the barricades. Ross the Barkeep (top left) arrives to help the defenders and the two figures locked in mortal combat continue to fight for their lives.  The K2I officer is still struggling with the townie when suddenly he finds himself the attention of three angry townies.  On seeing reinforcements coming Katrina runs off to the Northern barricades where a lady with a pistol could be of some use. Two culties rush at the bewildered meathead. Why didn’t she want to see his chopper? Skipol and Gordo also arrive on the scene.  The meathead kills a cultie but he isn’t quick enough to deal with the other one who slits his throat.  The cultie and Ross combine fire to stop the meathead who climbed the barricades. She fell to the dirt as several bullets smashed into her.  The meathead officer manages to clobber his townie but he was no match for the Teresa Green and Pit Fighter duo who finished him off.  Culties and townies rush to the remaining meathead.  Quickly they overpower him and take him alive. Result: Win for Hamsterdam Epilogue: Sheriff Skipol his concerned about the recent attacks of K2I and of bunker cities on the small farms and wasteland towns. Life is hard enough without their attacks. How many had starved over the years because of the greedy cities and bunkers? Looking at the captured arms and equipment Skipol formed an idea. He decided to from a new force of warriors to help the farms and towns, simply known as Skipol’s Heroes. He also drew up a charter and asked his friend Gordo to spread the word amongst the middle Wastelands farms and villages. It asked for warriors, advised the Wastelanders of the recent events and to turn their homes into fortresses. It also asked for them to look out for each other. The Charter also stated that the Wastelands was to be free and all peoples independent. No rulers, No oppression and total freedom. The Wastelander’s Confederacy was formed a few weeks later and used the Charter as basis. The WC is a loose band of warriors who would assist each other in times of trouble. All Raiders Beware is the slogan of the WC. The Children of Goodness were given the freedom of Hamsterdam. To further strengthen the bonds Pope Moyes offered the Confederacy the aid of his warriors in times of need. As the word spread throughout the Wastelands the Stunties of Copperhead and a certain hero called MAD also offered alliance to Skipol’s Heros and the Confederacy. |

Ta...I aim to please.  Not really as I am packing the games tables up later. It is the start of a new faction and some farmers. Just an excuse for me to paint up my hillbillies. Of course in time the confederacy will grow as many wastelanders will see the benefits of extra muscle when mutants or raiders come. I am also thinking of a Browncoat force too as extra muscle. They can also be used in my Firefly games.

No idea for the browncoats. The idea is that the colour of the coat is important, not the weapons, kit or uniform. So anything with a coat or jacket! But that will be next years projects. I also must say that the Confederacy is inspired by the Freepeoples faction from the Negromundhiem site. Some Banana Tyrant madness!

She is a rebased hero clix mini - I cant remember which one. I picked her up on ebay for a song to use as a cool mutant chick. All the paint needed was some shading and highlights.

Thanks, as I said I aim to please. With a bit of luck a new faction will be made up. I have some hillbillies who will be the farmers, assorted cowboys who will be farm hands/wasteland settlers and some West wind hillbilles with assault rifles who will be Skipol's Heroes. I might add another character from the same pack as Skipol who looks kinda like Duke Nukem as a side kick - called Butch Frigg. Just got to clear the Stalker and Vermen minis on my paint table first. |

You mean Goro Looseman. He is a Horrorclix frogman/deep sea diver. Rebased and repainted he makes a groovy wasteland explorer in a homemade armoured Hazmat suit. |
