Just wondering if anyone else had read any of this series? so far Ive read The Culled by simon spurrier which was IMO pretty darn tootin, which involves a bad ass jason Bourne type English fellow :2gun: travelling to America in a post apocalyptic world and killing new and interesting people whilst searching for "something".

Ive also read arrow head which basically trys to make a post apocalyptic Robin hood and manages to suck giant elephant balls and ruin a pretty interesting idea (imo).

The back ground to both is that everyone on earth( with a few notable exceptions) without blood type O dies of plague and the survivors either try to restart society orstart killing each other. Both are worth a look if nothing more than for a bit of inspiration and there are a few more in the series but I havent read them yet.

Not so much sci-fi as it set now. Some of them are more stupididy action novels with less time spent on background ( Arrowhead, how the Feck does a plod with a bow and arrow take out a tank and a load of special forces more or less single handed?)
Where as the Culled goes into a lot more detail with some brilliant set peices and gangs/ groups such as the Church ( who collect children for some unknown purpose), the thin Blues ( ex policemen trying to keep the peace) Collectors ( crazy cannibal bikers who wear silver puffer jackets) and lots and lots of scavs.

I've seen them on amazon.....I held back on picking some of them up due to every book seeming to have a different author.

It does seem they are meant to be different series of books (the hooded man has a sequel) set in the same background rather than one series as I first thought......so maybe I should give some of them a go.
