Whew. Been a while since I've posted here, as I hadn't really painted anything all Xmas/New Year. Starting to experiment with drybrushing. Photography skill not my strong suit unfortunately. First up, a trio of wasteland survivalists. For now these guys are without a sexy group name or background fluff. Gave 'em a brown wash to give the skin a dirtier look. All three are from the newer Copplestone range. The one on the right has a new head from the Spinespur thugs as I didn't like the original face. Edited by Lost Wanderer, Jan 24 2010, 07:15 PM.

NLC Heavy Infantry- Emphasis on "heavy", these guys are the New Londinium Corporation's best of the best. Packing big guns, heavy armour and legal powers you do not want to put to the test, these guys have a zero tolerance policy on wastelanders, gangs, mutants, weirdoes, etc etc... A squad of 2nd edition Warzone Blood Berets. I'd been wanting these for a while and got 'em second hand at a show last year. It's all about the size of your weapon here. |

Wasteland Witch- Nobody is quite sure how it happened, but there are a few individuals in and out of Nu London who possess bizzare powerful magical abilities, and a paranoid NLC have outlawed all forms of magic. Natalia is one of these, and can call on the powers of voodoo to abuse the NLC or anyone else who has something to say about it. She's seen here with a reanimated killer scarecrow bodyguard, and three diminutive henchpeople of uncertain species. Wyrd Malifaux "ice" witch (painted brown by me) with three "witchling stalkers" from the same range. The one with the rife's a conversion out of necessity 'cause the flimsy sword fell off in the box. Mr pumpkin head is from the old West Wind Superfigs range, and one of the coolest. |

Everyone needs a few unarmed civillian types now and again, and here's the first of mine a street trader complete with a small selection of merchandise. A sort of mini/terrain piece that I might add a little more to later. Tesqo Tel- Naming himself after a supermarket chain from before the disaster, Tel is a street trader doing business in the city's many marketplaces. He has a varied selection of stuff for sale or trade, from the rather handy to the completely useless. The really good stuff is kept locked away, and he "knows someone who knows someone" who will for a price, trade new NLC military hardware that "fell off the back of a lorry". A Heresy sci fi techy looking guy who until now I had no idea what to do with. The merchandise is a mix of plastic GW bits and stuff from plastic clickie minis. The thugs are both converted EM4 that I think I posted elsewhere in this topic. |

Bad Girls- Three armed and dangerous female characters who I've yet to give names or stories, and may in time be put into different gangs, or be part of a bigger all girl gang, I'm not sure yet. Anyways, we have a cowgirl/sherrif from Wyrd's Malifaux range who comes with quite possibly the glossiest hair in the wasteland. Catsuit spygirl is one of Copplestone's babes with guns and the punk gang girl is a Necromunda juve. Possible contestants for "Miss Nu London". |

Have managed to tear myself off the new PS3 long enough to do a little more painting. First up, a slightly Fallout inspired raider gang. The Filthy Animals- A nomadic raider gang who prefer in close combat, and come with a flamer for backup. At the start of their career, they sported big mohawks which got them laughed out of the ruins by would be victims. Losing the big hairdos, they're looking to start a long reign of terror, and top the Nu London's Most Stylish Gang list while doing so. A group of EM4 savages, all converted a little with mohawks traded for hats (and in one case a new hairdo), guns given to those who originally lacked one and a Spinespur welders mask head for the flamer guy (thank you Fallout 3). |

They look really good! The conversions really do make them into great characters, and your shading is really looking good

Very nice looking gang. The hats are a great conversion. Is it just putty, or something else? For some reason, the way you have them painted makes me think they'd make great Firefly Reavers (minus the new hats of course). |

The Ragin' Rambos- A heroic mercenary unit inspired by a one man army action hero in old movies from before the apocalypse. Frequently at odds with local gangs and the ruling NLC, if you've got a problem, and you can find them, and then afford their hire fee then the Ragin' Rambos will be sure to kill that problem dead for you. A squad of Warzone Capitol special forces, mostly 1st edition. I think the lady might be 2nd since she's a slimmer sculpt than her big bulky buddies. Crappy photo replaced with something hopefully better... Edited by Lost Wanderer, Mar 27 2010, 09:26 PM.

Thanks for the nice comments. No, the hats have been pinched from other minis most of who have since been headswapped and one or two may have been posted here earlier. I'm not good with putty, so my conversions are of the "add a bit of this mini to that mini" type. |

He came from Vault 7... Inspired by playing a lot of Fallout, and since a few people here have done one I figured I needed to add a Vault Dweller adventurer to my PA world. Originally an American born and raised in a bomb proof city deep under what's left of New York. An affair with the Overseer's daughter saw him kicked out of his vault and forced to wander the wastes as a mercenary. Rather impressively, he has managed to make it all the way to Nu London. A repainted Heroclix fig who had the added bonus of coming in a spandex jumsuit and carrying a gun anyway. Perfect Vaultie material, I think he was an agent of some sort and there's a couple of variants. Shown here with a couple of local gang members, and fighting a zombie for size comparison since clicky stuff is all over the place scale wise. This one's tall and lean, but still fits fine with my 28mm-30mm stuff, I think he has a basketball player's build. |
