Defend the Rookie Camp!; Adventures in the Zone!

Administrator Posts: 3,755 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jul 22, 2008	Defend the Rookie Camp. Location: Cordon Rookie Camp, The Zone, Mattblackworld (thats the full postal address btw!). Rules: Stalker Oblivion Marked One made his way from the Trader through the Rookie Stalker Camp. He noticed that they seemed more on edge than usual. Wolf the experienced Stalker who looked after the rookie camp waved at him. "Marked One, Come here!" Wolf called. Marked one made his way to Wolf curious as to what he wanted. "We need your help, Marked One. Yesterday a group of well armed Mercs dropped in. They told us that they would kill everyone in the camp if they where not gone by noon today." Wolf said. Marked One looked at the sky, the sun was nearing its Zenith. Noon was not far off. He looked back at Wolf. "The Rookies here cannot take them on, they would not last a minute. We need more bodies. There are some experienced guys on the way from Garbage but I fear they will be too late. Will you help defend the camp and save the lives of the Rookies? I cannot reward you well but I have a little stashed that you are welcome!" Marked One nodded. This was his sort of job, besides the Mercs had become a pain of late and he wanted to dish out some punishment. Marked One made his way to the roof of the house. It was a decent sniping position. He unslung the sniper rifle and prepared. He wasnt sure if the Mercs would come from the road so he kept looking all around. Soon the Mercs came into view. The where well equipped but their direction showed a smattering of over confidence and possibly arrogance. Marked One wondered why the Zone allowed them to prey on the Stalkers. Maybe that is why he was here. The Mecrs closed in on the camp. A sniper set up on the hill skylining himself. Not too smart Marked One thought. Too arrogant. The sniper drew a bead on Wolf who was unaware of the Mercs advance. There was a crack as a rifle discharged. Wolf took a hit and was wounded. On spotting the sniper a Rookie fired a long burst from her SMG taking the Sniper out. One less job Marked One thought. The Rookies were rushing about getting ready for the attack. Marked One raised his sniper rifle. Two shots and two Mercs dropped. The nearby Rookies started shooting missing the Mercs. In reply a Merc lobbed a grenade over the wrecked truck. The explosion killed a rookie Stalker. The Mercs rushed to the cover of the wrecked truck. A rookie jumped up onto it pointing her SMG down at the Merc. It rattled and the Merc dropped the burst smashing his head like a melon. The remaining Merc took a shot at Wolf and missed. Wolf's SMG barked a reply killing the Merc. The camp was saved with only one casualty. Victory to the Rookie Stalkers, Wolf and Marked One. I think I need more Mercs!
