BEING as thick as a stevedore's sandwich sometimes, i completely forgot to share my thoughts about the last batch of REAPER CHRONOSCAPE and SPINESPUR THUGS that i bought.

i got a box of four thugs with a sprue of six heads and six melee weapons, a blister pack of two molotov cocktail thugs with a head sprue, and a blister pack of
two shackler thugs with a head sprue and two lovely length of hooked chains. these are very compatible with EM4, VOID, URBAN WAR, COPPLESTONE, PRINCE AUGUST, and RAL PARTHA minis. they will work with REAPER, WYRD, WARJACK, BRONZE AGE, ABERRANT, INFINITY, and AT-43 30mm leads, passing for normal sized folks, somewhere in the middle height range, and make the above all look like bigger than average folks. all of these leads are male, all make good rank and file bods for gaming.

FIREBOMB THUGS. you get two nicely detailed leads in the blister pack. THUG ONE is standing, lighting his firebomb, wearing shoes, trousers, a zipped up hoodie and a hockey face mask. very useful in the role of rioter, revolutionary, or PA pyromaniac scum or citizen. this guy is a one piece casting. nicely detailed. THUG TWO is a multi- part casting, with seperate head and firebomb tossing arm. he is wearing a hip length coat over a T-shirt, trousers, with shoes, and is posed in a
"wind up and pitch" position that would make my chiropracter either have nightmares, or rush out and buy a new wet bar with expected treatment payment money. i opted for a motorcycle helmet with visor in the down position for his head option. again nicely detailed

SHACKLER THUGS. two very animated leads with head and shackle sprues that needed to be attached. i took one look at the nice sections of chain length with attached treble hooks on them, and decided i would save these for now and substitute seperate hands grasping melee weapons from the melee thugs box. my arthritus/hand/eye coordination was just not up to the relatively simple task at hand of shaping the chains, and then attaching them to the torsos of the thugs. both of these guys are wearing T-shirts with ripped off sleeves, ragged leather jerkins, belted at the waist, that hang to their knees, trousers, and shoes. the left hand of each figure has a cast on leather glove with attached knife blades, the right arm ends at the wrist and needs an attached hand with melee weapon. i opted for the long blade machete and the samurai swords from the thugs box for arming them. the leads postures would work best with these, so i dood it! for both guys i went with buzz cut noggins wearing kewl dewd shade. i see these guys as badly armed wastelanders or raiders or survivors who are doing the they can with what they have.

THE FOUR THUGS. these guys are all cast with out heads or melee weaponry; one is in a very action oriented pose, striking across the front of his body with a weapon in his right hand (lead pipe); two are in static poses, one with weapon resting on his right shoulder (baseball bat), the other with his weapon held in both hands across the front of his thighs, fireman's axe). all three of these guys are wearing T-shirts, jackets, trousers, and shoes. all nicely detailed. i opted for the welder's mask for the axeman, the gas mask for the slugger, and the buzz-cut with bandana concealing his lower face for the plumber. thug four is from a different social strat than the first three; he is a guy wearing a rumpled looking suit, shirt and necktie, with shoes. he is in an action pose with his left arm extended to his front, and his weapon extended to his rear, winding up to clobber the snot out of his opponent with another baseball bat. he is bald headed and wearing a mask to conceal the lower portion of his face. obviously some salesman from a department or mall store going out to face the end of the world with a baseball bat, the most lethal weapon he could quickly lay his hands on!

AND now i come to the three _personalities_ from the REAPER CHRONOSCOPE line! these are all very pretty, big, well proportioned 30mm minis, all, male, and all screaming individualism.

my personal favorite is REX, the road warrior. he is standing straight and tall, slowly walking forward with his cut-down double barrel shotgun held at arms length in his right hand, and aiming off to the right side at some one who is gonna have a very bad day, very soon. he is not wearing a leg brace or tool belt, but does have a holster for the shotgun tied down low on his right thigh! his left arm is hanging down at his left side with an open hand that screams "fill me!". REX is wearing a T-shirt, jeans, boots, and a waist length leather jacket. the right arm has been torn off just below the shoulder, exposing the short sleeved &-shirt. both shoulders have round metal disks fitted ontop of each shoulder as a form of protection from melee weaponry. this guy screams road warrior, solo, nomad, wasteland loner, merc for hire, and has an obvious chip on his shoulder. very much a "MAD MAX" kinda guy!

BIKER BOSS. this lead looks sooo much like my friend "FOOCOO" but with shoulder length straight hair (instead HADENDOWAH hair do!) and droopy mous- tache, that i almost fell out of my chair laughing when i saw him! kewl dewd shades, T-shirt, hip length duster, jeans, and biker boots complete his outfit. i almost forgot that he even has a roach-cutter necklace around his neck! MINIFOOCOO is armed with a big, pump action, riot gun fitted with a pistol grip slide, and has for the pistol grip without a buttstock option.
this guy is one of those biker's caught without his bike at hand when the world ended, so he has taken a stand, shotgun propped on his right hip, and is defiantly protecting his ass, his squeeze, his property apartment or favorite T-bar from all comers! a very useful survivor type, biker ganger, gun for hire.

FRANK RUSSO. now this is a man that will fight anyone if the price is right, or if it strikes his fancy to do so! a big, muscular dude, w/buzz-cut, wearing a tailored outfit, big boots, armed with a pair of selective fire pistols, hand grenades, and balls that clang and are the size of the GREAT STATE OF TEXAS! this guy looks like he could be a member of the CHAINSAW WARRIORS SOCIETY, sans chainsaw! i can see him as crew on a FIREFLY type of free trader/explorer/salvage vessel, a cyberpunk hired gun, or a well off wastelands solo, a town tamer for those places in need of taming!
i like this lead a lot!
