So, Having player Gun & Dead mans hand (Both fairly standard western shooters, 1 3rd person, 1 an FPS, both fun) on the PC, I figured I'd try Red Dead Revolver on the Xbox... I was expecting 'John Wayne', and instead I got 'Deadlands'! You play 'Red' (a bounty hunter) & Various friends (including an English trick-shooter) and meander between missions, earning money which can then be spent on upgrading stats or weapons... fairly mundane so far. Level 1 & 2 are pretty normal 2. Then you get to town, and have a very cool spaghetti western feel. The you start taking bounties and the weirdness factor starts to sky rocket... First baddies: Clowns with guns! & their boss - a sumo type guy with dinamite sticks and metal shields on his arms! Then you meet the next set - more clowns, as well as a Psuedo-Galiator, a knife thrower, several Arabian types and their teleporting mad scientist boss! The next set: Fairly mundae set of bandits, apart from sme hue orge like guys that hurl boulders, and their boss - the underwear clad, whip weilding psycho-bitch And the next set - again, airly average bandido's - then you meet henchman No.1, whos eyes have been gouged out & who wears a noose as a neck tie... and his boss - who carries around a steel coffin with a gatling-gun in it...!! Its fun.... but don't play it expecting a fairly average wild west game; cause you won't get one! |

I've no idea... Its probably worth a few quid, but don't break the bank on it or pay more than ~£5. The madness keeps increasing... but I won't spoil anyone elses fun/bemusement by saying how or why...! Multiplayer is interesting, as you unlock various single player characters as you play through or buy extra items. All of them start with different gear and most have different special abilities |
