Into the Deep Pt 6. Time to run. Lieutenant Strass walked down the corridor to give the Kaiser the news that the APC had arrived at the bunker to rush him to Castle Gestalt. He paused by the door and gulped. He would rather face the mutant hordes rather than deliver this news. The officer that reported the mutant invasion of the Bunker city had been shot for delivering the news. The last officer who reported the Bunker being over run was also shot. There had been no trial, no warning just swift execution. The bunkers military and civilians had taken massive losses. Since getting the news the Kaiser had ordered the evacuation of the Bunker City. Castle Gestalt was a massive complex and would easily accommodate the survivors. The civilians were on foot up to the mountains with Skin Head gangs for protection. No doubt there would be some slipping away into the wastelands. They would be rounded up and punished later. Strass knocked on the door and waited. A distant “come” sounded through the plastic door. Strass took a deep breath and stepped into the room. “Well?” the Kaiser asked. Strass could not help notice that the Kaiser looked stressed. The Kaiser’s concubine bodyguard looked pretty cool. Deadly but cool thought Strass. “Your Excellency, the APC is waiting at the gates as ordered.” Strass reported. “Very well. We will make our way to it.” The Kaiser spoke in slow measured tones like a man in pain. “Sir, wait. Let the APC come closer. You must not be risked!” Strass insisted. The Kaiser went quite and stared hard at the officer before him. Strass felt the blood drain from his face. “Lieutenant, I am the leader of the Master Race. We will defeat the mutants and rule the wastelands.” The Kaiser stated. “I AM NOT AN OLD WOMAN!” he yelled at Strass spraying him in spittle. The Kaiser filled Strass’ world. “I AM THE KAISER!....YOUR KAISER! THE KAISER! I WILL NOT BE TREATED LIKE AN OLD WOMAN!” the Kaiser screamed. Then as quickly as he started, it was over. He went quite as if the energy had drained out of him. Strass gulped staring at the Kaiser wondering if this was the calm before the real storm. It was then he heard the soft click. He turned to see the muzzle of a concubine’s submachine gun pointing at him. “B…bbuuutt!” Strass stammered realising his mistake was not to deliver the news but to question the Kaiser’s orders. The weapon rattled and Strass fell to the floor feeling like he had been hit by a hammer. “Call up the rear guard! Lets go!” Strass heard the Kaiser say as his vision dimmed. The Game: The Bunker is lost. Mutants swarm the lower levels. The Kaiser is to get to the APC parked at the other end of the Bunker Cities courtyard. The Field SS from the castle have debussed to protect the APC and cover the Kaiser’s retreat. They are to hold the gate so the Death Head Guard and the remaining loyal SS rookie from the academy can escape upon the APC leaving the table. Araynriech wins if the Kaiser escapes the table. Despite having a bunker to loot the Vermen and Smoggers are going after the Kaiser. They figure that if they kill the head then the body will die. One other problem is that various savage mutants have filled the bunker eager to exploit the new food sources. Ghouls are a real danger and will attack Vermen, Smoggers and Aryans alike. The mutants have to take out the Kaiser to win. Rules Stalker Oblivion. ![]() First light. The bunker city courtyard. It’s quite. Too quite. ![]() Here is the Kaiser’s deployment zone featuring the defences for the Reichstag complex of the bunker city. ![]() The statue of the Kaiser’s Father who steered the bunker in the days after the end. ![]() The APC has arrived from the Castle. The field SS have debussed to protect it. ![]() The Kaiser and his concubine bodyguards emerge first. He is the Kaiser and he will lead from the front in these dark times. Hey hang on….is he wearing eye liner? Could this be the first Emo far right extremeist? Still no one in the bunker is going to question the Kaiser’s choice of eye make up. ![]() The Deaths Head Guard deploy setting up covering firing arcs. The officer is showing that a good cleavage is all you really need to defeat mutants. ![]() On the firing step the Deaths Head LMG gunner sets up. Sergeant Konig hero sniper of the bunker joins her. Not to be out done the last loyal SS rookie from the training academy climbs up next to them. ![]() “NICKITTTTTANDRUUUUUUNNNN!” The Smoggers deploy intending to cut off the Kaisers escape route. ![]() The Vermen deploy ready to storm the remaining humans. ![]() The Smoggers move forwards. Their low height making the crates perfect cover for the thieving little sods. ![]() The Kaiser and concubines move out into what would be the killing ground. ![]() The Vermen split into two groups. This mob rush to try and get the Kaiser in range. ![]() Meanwhile the other mob move on the rearguard. ![]() Sergeant Konig the Sniper shows why he his held in high regard by dropping two Vermen quickly. ![]() The LMG opens up cutting down another two Vermen. ![]() The Smoggers didn’t realise that they where in the field SS’ firing line. The assault rifles and LMG’s open up cutting down six of them including their own support gunner. ![]() The remaining Smoggers rush behind some cover. They manage to hold their bottle after the devastating fire from the field SS. ![]() The Kaiser keeps moving towards his APC. ![]() The other Vermen mob dart behind the buildings to steer clear of the deadly weapons that are being sported by the Aryans. It proves to be wise as bullets from the LMG smash into the Nissan hut. ![]() The mob trying to get the Kaiser in range dodge behind the well. He must be in the range of the assault rifle by now. ![]() But not out of range of the sniper. Konig plugs another Verman. ![]() The SS rookie makes his first ever kill. ![]() The Deaths Head Guard move out to cove the Kaiser’s rear. ![]() Incoming fire from the field SS kills two more Smoggers. The last Smogger decides that enough is enough and get ready to run. ![]() Behind their defences the Aryan troopers hear a snarling. The smell of death and blood must be attracting the frenzied beast from below. ![]() The remaining Vermen follow the Deaths Head Guard in parallel using the caravan as cover. With some luck they can get to the Kaiser. ![]() The Verman with the assault rifle panics and runs. ![]() “Nickitandrun?” The last Smogger makes his way back into the cover of the crates. ![]() The Ghoul closes behind the defenders. ![]() Konig kills another Verman caught in the open. ![]() On hearing the snarl the SS rookie spins and coolly levels his assault rifle at the ghoul. ![]() A short burst dispatches it to ghoul hell. ![]() The Kaiser and company make it to the secondary defensive wall. ![]() The Deaths Head Guard head across the courtyard in a bid to help protect the APC. ![]() Deciding it was time Konig, the LMG gunner and SS Rookie move out. ![]() Snarling some ghouls appear near the Death Head Guard. ![]() From another vent more Ghouls pour. ![]() With a crash some Rad Wyrms smash out of a tunnel. This is getting serious now. ![]() Realising they are in danger the Vermen turn to face the snarling ferals near them. ![]() They open fire at close range and drop all four ghouls. ![]() “Hmmm Looottzzz!” The last Smogger regains some composure and decides to stay. If he can grab the support weapon and leaders pistol he might even get a promotion from the Boss. ![]() The Rad wyrms don’t get a chance to move as the field SS open fire on them. The LMG’s cut them to pieces. ![]() The Kaiser keeps moving. ![]() As do the Deaths Head Guard, despite the nearby ghouls. ![]() The trio forming the rear guard spot the mutants. ![]() A combination of LMG and assault rifle fire cuts the ghouls down. Konig missed his shot. Seems he cant shoot and move. ![]() As the Vermen move out yet more Ghouls appear from the vent. Its not a good day for the Vermen. ![]() More Rad wyrms appear driven on by the smell of blood. ![]() Ghouls swarm from all over. ![]() A large group of Ghouls pour out of the bunker near to the Kaiser and concubines. Meanwhile the hiding Smogger decides that the Ghouls and Rad Wyrms are too dangerous and decides to run. Very wise. ![]() “Aww Krud, not again!” a Verman snarls as they turn to face the ghouls once more. ![]() Again their weapons blaze cutting down the Ghouls. ![]() On hearing the danger the Kaiser and concubines turn to face the mutants. ![]() Cooly the Kaiser draws his pistol and fires four shots neatly plugging two Ghouls in the head. “DIE MUTANTS!” he yells. ![]() The Kaiser moves off leaving the ghouls to face full auto fire from the SMG and automatic sniper weapon. They drop like pins. Now the Kaiser is starting to feel superior again. ![]() The Deaths Head Guard set up ready to shoot down any mutants. ![]() The rearguard trio keep moving to the exit point. ![]() The field SS are not going to allow the larger mutants near the ACP. The LMG rattles and kills the Rad Wyrms. ![]() The Ghouls rush forwards. ![]() Yet more ghouls appear. The lower levels must be swarming with them. Maybe Aryan tastes good? ![]() A group emerge near the rearguard trio. ![]() The Kaiser makes it to the APC behind the protective fire of the field SS. ![]() Free from Ghoul interruptions the Vermen rush forwards hoping to get lucky or at least kill some humans. ![]() The LMG guard keeps moving. The SS rookie turns and bags two more mutants. Konig misses his targets. So much for having a sniper on the payroll. ![]() The LMG gunner fires a burst at the other ghoul group killing one. ![]() The Field SS open fire on the ghouls and rip the group to pieces. ![]() The ghouls take down the rookie and Konig. First AR casualties of the retreat. ![]() The ghouls rush forwards. One reaches the LMG gunner hungry for more blood. ![]() The ghouls claw opens a artery in her throat and she falls drowning in her own blood. ![]() The Vermen make it to the containers and take cover. It would be suiude to attack the Aryanrieche troops with that much fire power. ![]() The Kaiser and Concubines board the APC. The Kaiser orders one to take up the vehicles LMG. ![]() The Deaths Head Guard kills the closing mutants in a fury of SMG fire. They also finish the other group of ghouls to the left. ![]() Meanwhile a couple of Death head spot a Vermen peeping. A rattle from a MP kills the mutant. ![]() The Deaths Head Guard move back closer to the APC. ![]() The Kaiser’s APC pulls away and off the table. ![]() The field SS and Deaths Head Guard move out abandoning the Bunker City. They will pick up various bands of stragglers on their way to Castle Gestalt. Verdict: This game is a Win for Aryanreiche but they have lost the campaign. Epilogue: Despite the dangers posed by the mutants in the bunker the Smoggers and Vermen stripped the bunker of most things of use or trade value. It is not left for the beasts to live in. The Kaiser made it safely back to Castle Gestalt. He now realises that he needs more manpower to take back his Bunker or to conquer the mutants. He now plans to send his Skins units and gangs into the wastelands to spread his “word” and to recruit suitable genetically pure “Aryan” wastelanders for his armies. There will be a Wasteland SS Company in the future. The Skins units are also to search for lost SOS bunkers and other missed treasures to bolster Aryanrieches forces. Meanwhile Castle Gestalt’s labs and facilities will continue to research new weapons in defeating the mutant. For the Bunker his plans are to use it as a training ground. New Skins recruits are to go there and return with a mutant head as a right of passage. The same applies to the SS units. The Field SS must return with at least two fresh kills before joining. New weapons will be taken there and also tested. |

DAMNED good thing that field boots are knee high! with all of the involuntary BMs taking place among the SUPER RACE as they retreated, the ground would have been too slippery to walk up, let alone run, shoot and fight! excellent story DANNY! excellent! Thanks guys. I love the Smogger warcry of "Nick It and Run!". It fits the thieving little buggers well. Dawgie - the Skins are mainly EM4 conversions (thanks Earl for the thread links). They are a mix of Savages with the mowhawks and fur shaven off and one or two others from various ranges with bald heads. I wanted T-shirt and pants look to them. The Hasslefree Grant makes a great Skin. The Kaiser is a EM4 cop - the tinpot dictator (at the bottom of the page) with greenstuff hair and moustache modelled on a certain Dictator with Super Race dreams. I was pleased how the game went. This was the first trip out for the Deathshead, the Kaiser and Concubines. Maybe they shouldn't have ran and taken the battle to enemy, cleaning out the tunnels and inspiring the Aryans to further heroism. The end of the campaign has inspired some new forces for the bunker. Dont know when I will get to make them though. I am thinking a Wasteland SS Company made up of several uniform styles (recruited from Brittannia, Liberty, Neo Sov, New Sodom City and the Enclave) with German helmets and in SS colours. Maybe some "super" soldiers too (made bigger and stronger), power armour and more constructs (there are a couple of fallen officers on the slabs up at the Castle). In game terms there will be Rookies off to the bunker to make their first kills. Any new kit or forces off to the bunker for testing. Maybe when AR is strong enough a recon mission to see what is left untainted by the mutants. Skins will go about the wastelands recruiting other "aryan" looking mutant haters and attacking anyone not Aryan. They will also be on the lookout for resources the bunker can use. Then there is the question of the deserters/rebels/traitors. Plenty of ideas there for the AR forces trying to take them out and vice versa. There could be a mission to close the lower levels of the bunker followed by a storming of the bunker, assuming that it is still habital of course. If not AR will be looking for a Nuke to destroy the bunker. Edited by mattblackgod, Oct 18 2009, 09:23 AM.
