consectari, how did you find playing with the Squat Prospectors list?
Sorry to say, I didn't use the Squat rules. Like most of those gang war rules, they seemed over powered.

I didn't have time to re-write them, so just used Van Saar rules. One day, I plan to re-work the rules using that chart they used for Necromunda in Space. Just no idea when I'll get around to it.

Okay, three more done, plenty of putty work to do on these, the first one especially, but I'll do the putty work all in one hit.

Cheers man, three more of the old plastic squat bodies to go, then I'll tinker with some BFSP dwarves and the old multi-part plastic dwarves.
There's rumor we're playing in the Ash Wastes, so a vehicle or two might be in order....

They are looking excellent. Good job with the squat sighting up his Las. How many are you doing for this gang again? And what do you have in mind for Juves?

In answer to your questions CC, 1)Not sure, 2)no Idea :D

I was thinking of doing 15 which is about twice as many Prospectors than you start with, but it will depend on motivation and bits.
Not sure how I'm going to go about the juves(Slaggers), the fluff says that any Squat from any walk of life can join a Prosper group and start off as a lowly Slagger. So theoretically I could use a normal Squat Miner and claim him to be a newbie, though I think I'd like to have them look different, perhaps scrawnier, more human head with trim beard.... as I said, not too sure just yet.

Maybe different clothes for the Slaggers and just not having the same kit at all. Civies? 15 would be great.

Got in my first game of Nercomunda in over a decade: Goliath vs. Esher vs. Cawdor.

And one photo to prove it -

Esher won.

The figures were R. Lee's; the terrain's mine.

Necromunda goes back onto the active list of games played at the club.

Well, I'm pleased it's getting played somewhere. There hasn't been a game at my local Gaming site for three years or so. There was rumor of a group meeting about 25 miles out from my place, but it evidently was a closed gaming group.

What is that interesting piece of terrain near the board edge at a bearing of 270 degrees?

It was one of 5 identical terrain pieces included with FASA's VOR boxed game. The rules weren't that exciting, but I really liked the figures.

Added a wood-like base for greater stability.

Necromunda was my introduction to "wargaming" and is still my personal favorite. At the time, I was the only person in my group without "family obligations" and thus had spending cash. Knowing that if I ever wanted to play, I would have to supply everything, I pretty much bought EVERYTHING. As a result, the top shelf of my closet holds at least one copy of each gang boxed set. Somewhere in that mess is also a box of old plastic Skaven Clan Rats that have had their swords removed and replaced with plastic Ork Bolters which I had intended to use as a "Rat Man" gang.

Just out of curiousity, did anyone ever use the RatSkin Savage rules from Gang War #5?

After ya mentioned the piece as VOR terrain, I recall having seen the piece before.

Like you, I got my start to wargaming with Necromunda, and still have a lot of love for it now. I even rebought the rules 2nd hand (big huge hardback book) and tend to use it as my main rules template throwing in whatever non GW stuff I want.

For a few different reasons, I tend to prefer smaller skirmish games over 40K type big army battles. Also liked the fantasy equivalent Mordheim.

I remember the Ratskin Savages rules (I had that Gang War issue many moons ago) but never did get to use them.
