lol.

There are Benny, but they're just kids, 13 or 14 years old, and they seem firmly rooted in WFB.

I have to agree with you on this one, I had enough of them when I was 13/14 years old. Why do it to yourself again? :D

Hmm... Yeah, I'm with you guys on this one. And I'm closer to their age.
Little shit heads.

I wonder if it would be a good thing or not if all those little shits discovered Stargrunt?

And while I'm on the topic of awesome metal minis.
What is with the current trend of everyone wanting plastic? Sure plastic is cheaper... But it doesn't look anywhere near as good. The design and casting of metal minis is so much nicer to that mass produced shite from GW...

Yes, but only if they discover it around the age 20 ;)

I'm finding of late that I'm loving metal. It may be that I'm picking up stuff from lots of other sources, but I'm not needing to convert models, and that has become quite the novelty.

Exactly... Metal is such a beautiful medium to paint and play with. I was so cut when I discovered Privateer Press were switching to plastic kits :(

It annoys me how whenever a nice new kit arrives on the internet, the first thing people think of is what application it could have in 40k... Grr...

YEAH...You know I was like that for about a year or so...lol.
Funny too, becuase when I started collecting 40k shit it was soley to be used for my big Rifts RPG's.
I still remeber the first pack I ever got. It was a 3-pack of Eldar Scouts with the nice coats and gear. They were used as Atlantis Tattoo Mages and Adventurers.
:coffee:
Today...if you gave me free packs of GW I would toss them in the trash.
Or give them to a kid or some such.

I agree over the plastic to metal and other manufacturer minis being as good/better arguments but some of the recent GW stuff is pretty good. The Ghouls are great little critters for conversion. Plastics are easier to convert, but I have to admit they feel wrong when you play with them. Too light. Still I wont say no if some one gives me a box for free.

I suppose its due to the health considerations of what is in the metal minis, although I suspect eating plastic will be just as bad for you. There is a lot of countries that ban products with lead in them for kids.....and what is GW's prime market?

GW's metal is lead free. Its a tin-iron alloy, well, last I checked. I know it doesn't come with lead warnings like my stuff from Westwind and GZG did.
They do come out with some mighty nice minis, and I keep being tempted to rejoin. But I'm just sick of the constant rules changes. My old wolf army is pretty much obsolete with the new Space Puppies codex :(

Send them into the Wastelands.....let them forge a new identity as some sort of power armoured faction following in the ancient warrior ways. Just type Wolf and Warrior into Google, it should bring up some nice inspirational historical sites.

Yeah send them into the wastelands OR into space somewhat like these old boys did... http://jerikoreach.blogspot.com/
It allows for a greater variety of models than just primarily Earth based
