Lachlan's latest game - fantasy boat combat. There were 4 players, all with different fleets - Dwarves (ACW style ironclads), Humans (Reniassance style ships), Orks (Longboats with huge forwad cannon & Rams) and Dragon Lords (a type of elf)

Interesting. How does it play?

I did think about doing a small scale warship game using a modified version of Full Thrust. But I never got around to it.

Boats looked cool, especially the human fleet!!

It plays pretty nicely - and certainly its quite quick to learn. Full thrust on sea wouldn't be a bad description actually, as you have the same shooting mechanic, although movment is done differently (as in you don't have velocity, and instead change what you want to move each turn, as long as you move atleast 2") turning is done by template (which depends on ship size) and differnet races have different 'magic' cards (A deck of 36 race tailored cards with things such as extra gun range, etc)

The mini's for uncharted seas do look nice.... Sea battles (and space battles for that matter) have always tempted me, but I must admit it's something I've never got round to doing.

Looks like a good game.
